I'm hoping she's bowl wrapping for Ovulation but she's been teasing me for a while :( She was paired to her brother who's another odd one ;)

I'm just spit balling here but if I had to string some words together to describe her I would say: Creamy fire headed ridiculous bad assness that must be duplicated.

She's very interesting - do you have any pictures of her that aren't over exposed to show her a little better?

Hmm... it's possible that your animals have the IMG gene (increased melanin gene). I don't know of any other trait that can cause rapid color changes like that. It's a possibility that's worth researching.

Thanks, Some have said you can tell some Het Clowns because they express theirselves visually, The siblings and grand kids of the original pair are exceptional they don't look like your average clown. So we are thinking theres a second gene at play just have to wait and see ;) Its all exciting though.

Hi Collrak, I have researched into the IMG gene and also spoke to Ralph about them he believes theres something different going on with them and its just a matter of time to find out, Heck must be something going on Ralph wants hatchlings LOL :)

She looks like a nice normal who has the typical breeding female "glow" going on. My Cinnamon female looking like an incredible hypo when she got her glow going, and she is normally a dark cinnamon.

After seeing photos of previous offspring and other hets, something else looks to be at play.

No way those are just clowns either, crazy :rolleye2:

Het clowns are usually very visual and easy to tell from a normal, but those are ridiculous, something else going on there especially after seeing those clowns.

That looks way more than just the "glow" during building! Holy Cow Batman! She's definitely awesome! Don't send Ralph any babies. Just send 'em to me!

If she is glowing then she's been doing it for nearly a year, She and her brother went through a dramatic colour change at around 2 years old both within days of each other. The male went like a really awesome Axanthic the female did too but then they shed again the female ended up like she is now and the male just looks Dirty :( I doubt he will go back to how he used to be :(

The breeder and I do think theres something else going on but the parents that produce them all look completely normal which is what's thrown us all.

When I first saw them I instantly thought Granite Clowns but the parents don't look nothing like Granites or anything else for that matter, So the only logical answer would be a double recessive but heck stranger things have happened in this hobby.

LOL Clark, I don't know if she's building or not shes looked like that for nearly a year now. She's been doing the usual bowl wrapping laying inverted etc but shes been doing that for the past couple of months the male is still locking with her though so who knows. I did tell Ralph that all babies will be staying with me until we know whats going on.
