Reduced banded pattern. As little to no spots as possible.
High golden color. Should not look 'normal'.

Here is mine, she is a prime example of what to look for IMO. No spots, wicked pattern, and nice color. This is her about 150 grams she is a bit over 200g now and is getting better looking each time she sheds:

Here is my Enchi. First pic is with my Spider, and second is with one of my normals. I love and look for the color, and the banded pattern. Also the lack of spots. I love the Enchi Morph.:)

might be cheating since he's a genetic black back enchi, but no spots and a killer semi reduced pattern make him one of my favs...

To me an enchi is as much about color as it is pattern. Good enchi's will have one or the other but great enchi's will have both, the classic reduced banded pattern and that awesome golden/rusty/caramel color that will only get better with age.. but that's just what I like in an enchi.

I was told that one of the enchi's (I cannot remember if he said male or female) was not capable of being bred. He made a reference to how a mule cannot reproduce. Is this true?? I haven't found anything confirming this...

I'm not sure I'm new to this lol. So both genders of enchis can be bred but not deserts? are there any other balls like this? Is there a place I can read up on this other than constantly asking n00b questions lol

Try using the search function for different things, browse all the forums, and when in doubt, post a thread and ask questions! Yes, enchi's male and female can breed! And they do awesome stuff!

Thanks guys :D! I gotta say, icandiballpythons, though your enchi has spots, and I see lots of people hating on the dots. Your enchi is amazing! He/she has some nice contrast! I love all the light enchis that Mr Enchi, aka freakie frog, has. I also really like the dark dark dark enchis!

As with most morphs, there's quite a bit of variability in enchis, so you could choose exactly what you like :gj:. I hope you find a good one! If/when you buy one, please post pics :D! Enchis don't really shine IMO until they get some meat on their bones :P.

I think I have a pretty dark enchi, but I love her gold trim and belly :D. Here's some reference pics:

    Super cool belly!

hooblah, thank you. I really dig the contrast of your enchi a ton:gj: I thought I liked more reduction in pattern until I actually had the enchi I posted in my hands and have watched him mature, it adds a little more character to him. I have another that is more banded but I actually like the one I posted better. Below is an older pic of my other enchi ( I'll try to post a new one tomorrow his yellow has cam in alot since that pic)

I would pass. I am not one for a lot of spots. I think if I were going to pick one that did have spots it would have to look like icandiballpythons enchi. It has to be super bright for me. I think enchis are totally worth holding out for the perfect one.

In Freakiefrogs pics, you can really see the contrast between the bronze top half, and gold/yellow bottom half. Even though it has dots, I would not hesitate to purchase that one if I had the money. The 4th and 5th picture show the lack of dots, and crazy color, as well as some of the red blushing inside the darker patterns. Here's a checklist I think of when I'm browsing the ads for cool looking enchis:

    - Contrast - You should be able to see a color difference in the top half and lower half of the enchi. As they get older, this will become exaggerated, and looks SWEET.
    - Overall color - GOLD/bright yellow or DARK brown (I like the extremes, not the in-betweeners)
    - Pattern (dots/no dots) - I don't like having dots all around the side of the enchi, but I can forgive a few. I prefer no dots, like most of these other folks :gj:.

Feel free to add to this checklist! I know everyone else has their own opinions on what they like to see, and I'm interested in hearing it!
