Emergency.. Gone all day and I come home and snake is stuck...
I recently bought a new climbing/log thing for my snake and today when I went out to run errands (I have been gone since before noon..) She somehow got almost entire body into this small little space I hadn't even noticed before... I do not know how long she has been in there and she is EXTRA pissed off now.. I have no idea what to do.. I do not want to hurt her trying to get her out.

That is a tricky one... Can you take a picture? Maybe try using something to lube the snake up to make her slip out easily? Maybe peanut butter or mineral oil...

I don't know if she's actually stuck or not, snakes can squeeze into tiny little spots. She's probably mad since she feels secure in there and doesn't want to be bothered or tried to be pried out. I'd leave her be for now and see if she works her way out.

I would 2nd the mineral oil. Not so much the peanut butter just beacause I don't think it would be slick enough. Butter would work nicely but I'm not sure I would butter up a snake lol. A picture would probably help though. Is the decoration made of wood or is it a porcelin material?

So that is what she is stuck in.. It does look larger in the picture because it is up close...

She has herself upside down with the majority of her body in the little whole.. She has moved a tiny bit and when she did I kept hearing something which I assume/hope was just her body rubbing against the tight space..

Sorry for the bad pics. It is hard to get good ones because of the thing is angled. It is made of a porcelain material..

Leave her be. Turn off all the lights and leave the room for awhile. See if she comes out on her own. You could also try to entice her with a mouse.

Judging by the amount of open space that it appears like I see in your little enclosure and the apparent size of your snake, I wouldn't be too concerned. Seems like a pretty small BP and plenty of room to me. How cats are to landing on their feet, I think that's a little like a snake is to squeezing into small places.

I have the EXACT same log thing. You will only get into more trouble with it - that I promise you. Lights off, let her be, she'll come out when she's ready - when she does, take the log out.

Well it seems like this isn't much of an emergency. I put his mousy in his enclouser and backed away for a few minutes and he popped on out.. Although I must say I don't think I am going to putting the log/hide thing back in.. maybe it is time to just buy a nice normal climbing thing without any tight spaces like that... I am learning that snakes are tricky little critters and like to make me think something is wrong but I guess that is what comes with being new to snakes.

Thank you for helping me out :]

Glad he came out. Yup, get rid of that thing. Bps don't much need or want to climb. How are your hides? He may just be looking for a more secure hide.

Don't throw the log out. Just get some of the expanding foam that various dart frog keepers use to build their enclosures (Great Stuff is what it's called. Nicknamed GS. Found at almost ALL hardware supply stores). Once it's hardened and cured, it's neutral and non-toxic. Just spray and fill the inside of the log. Trim off any excess that exands out of either end and viola. Your snake can't get into it anymore because the entrances are blocked off, and you can keep the log. Win-win. :gj:

Friend of mine had this happen with her BP. Only, he DID get stuck. Lost scales and cut himself trying to get in/out of the too-small space.
