    I'm ready for fall
So summer is fun with the nice weather, bbq'ing, playing at the river/beach. I'm getting tired of 80 degree days. I am ready for fall to be here. All the leafes changing to beautiful colors, going to the pumpkin patch, Halloween, the smell of rain. A toasty fire in the wood stove, yummy soups and crock pot dinners. Fall is my favorite season. Anybody else not sad to see summer go?

I hate summer. It's 90's and high humidity all summer here. I'm ready for fall and winter.

Oh my gosh, I am totally ready for fall! I really hate summer and the unbearable heat. I love the chill in the air and the leaves. I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving!

I'm ready for my AC bill to go down... nothing like a few weeks in the mid 90's to really use up some serious power.

Try 3 months in the mid 90's. Robin doesn't do hot!

Fall works for me, I love those crisp cool foggy mornings! Over the last week it has really cooled down here, it's a nice break from the killer hot summer we had. :gj:

I used to be sad to see summer go, but I'm learning to love all of the seasons for their own reasons. Living in New England where the weather changes SO dramatically through the seasons, I guess this was kind of a natural process.

For fall I am excited for all of the things you mentioned. The smells, harvest season, color changes, cool breezes, etc. Fall foliage hiking is one of my favorite things in the world. I like the way the wind changes here. It starts swirling and looping in its pattern. It's very distinct and wonderful.

What I don't like is waking up and walking out of my house in a t-shirt this morning to realize it suddenly turned 45 degrees overnight.

Oh well, guess I'll get excited for snow shoeing and snowboarding...

We are all set to break a record here! So far everyday in September has been at least in the mid 90's (a couple days over 100). If we go over 20 days in September over 90 it will break a record set in the 1800s! At this point we have 3 more days to go for the record and the forecast calls for at least 5 more days over 90! I am so ready for fall! At least it didn't go over 110 this year, I think we hit 116ish at one point last summer!

I hate the 8 months of fall winter here in New York. Well it's not literally that long but feels it for sure. If its like 85 and sunny I'm not happy. I wore long johns and a sweatshirt the other day because it was 68...think I'm bad? My girlfriends worse haha.

It feels like fall is already beginning here in Chicago. We've had some 65º high days here and there. They are welcomed! I love hoodie weather.

DrDooLittle, where are you located? Never fear! Fall is on its way! I'm very excited. Fall means birthday, nice weather, NARBC, Breeding, Halloween, and thanksgiving!! yum!!

I wish it could be 75 degrees all year round. I will say though, I am much more tolerant to heat than cold. I guess that's cause I grew up here. I could never live in a cold climate unless I could learn to hibernate.

I love heat, but my "good zone" is in the 75-80 range. When it's hot outside, you can take layers off and feel better. When it's like it was 2 hours ago and just plain cold (50s) then that's pushing it. :(

This I have to disagree with, lol. You can't always take off enough layers to cool off, but you can always put on more to get warm. Haha, its 55 outside right now and feels so refreshing.

Fall feels like it has already started to set in here. And I'm loving every minute of it. I don't mind summer too much but this year sucked cause the ac went out in my car, so I am more than ready for the cooler weather. I have taken the first week of October to drive the blue ridge parkway to see all the leaves changing colors.

I am awaiting the day we can get down into the 80's. Cooler weather will be welcome with open arms! So far our forecast says we might actually get down to 89 by thursday! I dont think it even got below 70 overnight!

It's finally cooled down a little here. This has been one of our hottest and driest summers on record, and to add insult to injury, we didn't have what I consider a winter here last year. Last 'winter', it was around 55 most of the time, with one night down to 16, and it was in the high 80s in most of February. It was over 100 here for most of June and part of July, which makes even swimming miserable.
Thankfully, autumn is coming, or the plant life certainly seems to think so. The spider lilies, beauty bush, and asters are blooming and bearing, and the trees have been turning for a month now. I can't wait for cooler weather, and I hope we have a real (for Alabama) winter this year.

You already want fall to be here?! Our summer just started mid august! I mean sure its been 10 weeks no rain but we didnt get any sun until 2 months after the rest of the nations summer.... But I do love fall and we need some rain. These wildfires are driving me nuts! And my daughter gets to go knock on some doors and collect candy for daddy on Halloween! :D

I love fall but it is SOOO short here! We usually have snow (and quite a bit) by Halloween. Ew. Also, Fall means winter is right around the corner with it's -40C weather. T_T

That was me haha. I could live at 76 all year. Maybe higher if it was a dry heat. Humidity is what kills me!

No im not at all. Fall is one step closer to winter when its snowy and cold. Do you know how much fun it is to wakeup at 4:30am so you can shovel the driveway and clean your truck off while its like 30degrees outside? Its not, its zero fun. Do you know how many times i have to wake up early in the summer to do that? Never. The days are also so short in the winter. I wake up and its dark out and sometimes by the time i get home from work its dark out too. That never happens during the summer. I could go on forever but im pretty sure that we all know Spring/Summer beats the hell out of fall/winter.

You mean to tell me you don't enjoy sticking your hands into that slimey itchy mess? Lol. I bet your daughter will! We always take a night, and line the kitchen floor with newspaper, and everyone has their own carving tools, and do a bunch of pumpkins. It's lots of fun. Last year one of my cats was "participating", he was eating the guts we were scraping out, lol.

Fall out here in northern CA is a whole different season compared to the east coast fall I grew up with. We usually get our warmest weather in Sept and Oct, so it doesn't exactly feel like fall, but the light is changing, the days are shortening, and all the green is drying up and going brown.

I love the turnover of the seasons, I just don't like it when it's dark for 15 out of 24 hours a day. Got a long way to go before we're there, though, and in the meantime, it's just gorgeous outside with the sun a bit lower in the sky, and fewer leaves to block the light.

Her hubby has probably only had to do this twice this past winter lol! :D. We only get snow about a week out of the winter season and sometimes we have to shovel some snow! You should switch coasts. Its very comfortable over here. Humidity isnt bad not too hot not too cold and you get all 4 seasons. I think we discussed this before but I have to bring it up again. :D

I can't wait for fall either. Getting a bit cooler here, especially in the evenings and at night. Still a bit hot in the day. I always say I'm warm blooded anyway, so I do pretty poorly in the summer. lol. It sucked this summer. Was a lot hotter then normal and we have no AC, so we struggled with controlling the heat in the house. Luckily won't be living here next summer. v.v

On one hand I'm ready for fall, but on the other hand, we still need to fill our propane tank for heat/stove. Because of how bills landed last month when we moved in, we don't have the extra $500ish to fill it (and they won't fill just part of the tank). With the exception of the snake room which has an electric oil heater, the rest of our house is gunna get mighty cold for the next week or two.

I live for the winter/cold/snow! One of our other hobbies is building and driving 4x4 trucks. My wife, brother and I all have custom built s10 trucks/blazers. Nothing better than flying through the fresh fallen snow! Crawling through the fresh powder while it rolls up over the hood! Sitting in the warmth of my truck while a blizzard blows by outside. Snowing so hard, you can't even find the trail you just drove in on a few minutes earlier! Oh I can't wait!

They are right down the road from us too, so it wouldn't really be that inconvenient for them to put 100 gallons in it and have us put the rest in in a month or so. Greed is all it is.

I've gotta get some new front tires before snow flies too. The ones on there now are history.

I can't wait til Christmas time. I wanna put up our tree and snuggle together under the light of the tree while watching Dirty Jobs (or similar Discovery show) and drink something hot...
