After First Shed. ( YB Mojave Or Enchi Mojave?)
-
looks like mojave yellowbelly's
-
Do you have any belly shots? I'm no expert, but it might help those who are... ;)
-
P.S. Gorgeous snakes, no matter what they are!!
-
i am by no means the final answer, but i will say YB Mojave. But Jeezus what a nice snake!
-
I'm thinking Mojo YB as well. Gorgeous snakes though
-
I'm gonna say enchi Mojave... All the YB mojos that I've seen have a WAY funkier pattern to them and these just seem to have the higher fading on the sides more so than a funky pattern
-
Looks like a Mojo YB..here is a pic of a Mochi posted by one of our members here, note the pattern

I would guess YB Mojo. I'm just not seeing any Enchi influence in them.
They are very hot little guys, though!
-
I'm going to say yb mojo as well

Re: After First Shed. ( YB Mojave Or Enchi Mojave?)
I say YB Mojo too. Enchi Mojo tends to have melting-effect on patterns. Those seems to retain the normal appearance of the pattern yet have intensive high flames w/c is typical to YBs. But regardless of what morph they are, they are superb!
-
Being that there is no banding at all I would say Mojave YB. Those males would make awesome Potion makers.
-
Im jumpin on the YB train. I dont see any enchi in any of them. Theyre all gorgeous though!
-
Re: After First Shed. ( YB Mojave Or Enchi Mojave?)
I agree with Balls Out. Enchi should band the snakes more than what they are. They are great looking snakes either way!

Ill get some updated ones. Its kind of hard to tell from the belly. My mojave male has a pattern close to a yb on the sides of his belly. I think thats the thing that is throwing me off. On the belly Im not seeing the well defined yb pattern. That could be because of the mojvave in it. In this post some photos show their belly. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...57#post1790057

Mojo YBs have rough/ragged edges to the alien heads, which also tend to be reduced in size and situated higher on the flanks than yours do. Some Enchis dont have much of the banded pattern to them and I think thats why your babies are a little confusing. One of yours has a nice orange band near the tail, that goes completely across the back. Every single mochi or pastel mochi I have ever hatched has a similar band or bands on them, always near the tail as well."
Here is a picture of my enchi male. The one that could possibly be the father.

He is not as banded as some of the enchis I have seen.

In the link there are a few pictures of the younger ones. Im seeing on the alien heads on the side. A little bit of the black speckling. Like the ones pictured in the link.

Here are the females. Not the greatest photos, but should work.
Here is a group shot. One normal, one ? mojave, and one normal mojave.

Here is the normal mojave. To me the belly on her does not look any different than the others. Just a different color

I'm still sticking with yb mojave. A gorgeous one at that!

I see yb speckling trying to show through, definitely looks like a mojavebelly to me.
-
I say YB Mojave, Very Very Nice!!! :O

-
I voted YB mojo but i would change my vote to mochi :gj:.
The sides and blushing is like some other mochis ive seen. Especially now that they have some size on em, I see more and more mochi :gj:

I was still not 100% sure, But I seen a post on another forum. A guy hatched out some enchi mojaves. He showed pictures of them just out of the egg. They look just like these did, when these came out of the egg. Going by his pictures, and a few people I have talked to. Im 100% sure they are enchi moajves. At least I learned a lesson. Im done with the whos your daddy clutches.
-
I'd say yb mojave because of h flames. Also, mochis are redder.
-
I'm going to stick with my YB mojo vote.

I voted yb mojave ~ I'll stick with that vote, I don't see enchi in those babies. :P

Ok here is a clutch from another breeder, the first picture are his Mochi's. Produced by breeding a mojave X Enchi. No other males were used.. Taken hours after coming out of the eggs.
In his picture, you have one really banded one. You have one really striped one. Then you have one that has pretty much the same pattern as mine.
Other breeders picture, Not mine, I did not take them.

Then here are mine, taken within eight hours of coming out of the egg.. Same flames, same color, same pattern on a few of them. Even the same ring on the tail, on some of them.. Ive talked to another breeder that has produced a good number of mochis. He too believes mine are mochi's He also stated almost ever mochi he has produced. Has the blushed out ring on the tail.. Some are more extreme that others, but it is there.

If I were to take pictures of his snakes. With my camera, same settings, same lighting setup. You would see the same snakes.

I was kind of thinking the same thing about the dark normal mojave. A few others have said the same thing. Mom looks just like her. She is a darker mojave, with the pixelation along the belly. Somewhat like a yb, but not as extreme as a yb. I think Ill be keeping the mojave female too. So will see when she gets old enough to breed.
-
Those are all really nice. I'm not sure I could make a call on which one was the father. I've heard that the mojave pattern pretty much wipes out the yellowbelly belly pixles, but they do have really bright flames coming up the sides like good yellowbellies do. I don't know, it's a tough call.
I also learned my lesson years ago on the 'who's your daddy' clutch. I had an entire rack of normal females. I kept rotating my spider, lesser and yellowbelly males though the rack every week. Then one day, I don't know why probably because I was feeling sorry for him, I put my pastel male through each girl once and ONLY once... EVERY clutch laid in that rack turned out to be pastels and normals. :(
