Craigslist Story I know Not another one of these but Look at this score..... DUW
A month ago I was looking at Craigslist and I found an ad for a 2011 lesser male $50 dollars because he was a problem feeder. I contacted the seller and he said he tried mice and pinkies and he would just not eat for him. Said he forced fed him 2 meals and that If I wanted him I could have him for $30, if I came and got him that day. I figured that I spend more at Starbucks a week and would try my hand at getting this guy to eat. I picked him up and he came in at 55 grams. Well I got him home and put him in his tub in my isolation rack with a hide. The very next day I offered him a live pinkie rat. The lesser ate it with no issues and took another 3 days later. I have never not one had him refuse a meal from me. Tonight almost a month since getting him he came in at 190 grams. I contacted the seller to see if he tried live rates with him and he said no only F/T mice pinkies and fuzzies. Crazy right I know well here is a few photos of him I snapped tonight. Sorry for the long read & bad pics lol

I'm glad he ate for you with no problems.

I wonder did this guy breed him or buy him ?

Problem feeders can try a persons nerves and patience sorely I know.

    Congratulations on your baby.

I never asked him. He had around 30 other Balls and many other snakes. He never tried live rats and that threw me through a loop. He also had no hides in his rack. I know I don't use hides but only with problem feeders. Also Live seems to make huge difference in baby balls. Seems like he was new but still should have tried these things first. I am not going to complain as I got this guy at a normal female price lol. His lost my gain.

A ball that PREFERS rats over mice? That's my DREAM right now (dealing with 4 juvis who've decided not eating is the new "in" thing).

Wow what a deal! It seems strange to me that this guy wouldn't have tried rats, i feel like that's one of the first go-to solutions for a picky eater.... oh well his loss is most certainly your gain!

I have no idea why he would have no tried it or hides, ASF or Senting Split braining and so on. But yeah I'm not complaining he's an awesome little snake.

I know your pain all too well. Last year I had entire clutch or Woma pythons refuse to eat for 6 months. It tried me to my very end. Caused me great heartache and nearly my mind lol. But after months of assit feeding & force feeding they all learned to eat on there own. Also have a Mojave female 2011 off fed and she is trying my nerves every week I try to feed her. Stick with it they will eat again.
