I found a piebald and a lucy in a tree...
Noodle, silly, you go through the hoops.

Tee hee ... they are circus performers!

The best thing is I bet they sometimes lose "footing" and come crashing down, making a loud thunk? Ball pythons are so clumsy.

Sometimes I swear they do it intentionally! That pied, I've seen her actually charge right off of the dining room table, because she's decided that's the fastest way to get down. And when you're a 4 foot snake, maybe it is?

And she's 1700 grams, so she can make a pretty good "thump" in the middle of the night.

    Silly, silly Noodle.

(Please note: beater is not attached to mixer, it's just lying in the bowl. So she's safe. And I didn't put her there---she crawled into the bowl while I was off answering the door.)

Is that the same Leucy who went straight up the concrete wall ?

What comical photos, you are braver than I. Or else you have fewer cats. :weirdface

Hah! Yes, this is the lucy who climbs walls.

I assume Noodle would be safe from cats in the tank? But I have only dogs, and Mr. Nibbles put the fear of ball pythons into them early on....

I was referring to the mixing bowl photo mostly. With 7 cats in my house, the snakes are never more than arm length away with the door closed, and never out of hand when in the same room as a cat/cats. I don't think any of my cats would bother them, they mostly get a very offended look on their face when a snake gets close, and then they leave. But I'm not taking any chances. It only takes a second for disaster to strike.

One of my old roommates got a kitten, and when it was about 8-10 weeks old it started getting really brave, sneaking up on my Ball and trying to bat her tail while I tried to throw him out. Since all she did was move her tail and slither away, he got bolder and bolder. One day he did that to my boa (she was around my neck and he snuck up from behind the couch in my room) only on the wrong end. She got him right on the top of the head; didn't even puncture the skin, but he yowled something fierce and booked it!! Needless to say he gave my snakes a wide berth after that. :P
