Halloween Help Please!

I need some help... I need to decide on a costume for Halloween this year! I'm stuck between Princess Leia and Arwen, I love both equally! Help me choose please, otherwise I may never decide :P

I dont even know who Arwen is, but there is always a lot of Princess Leia's out there.. haha so my vote was Arwen all the way!! :D

Hard one. Arwen is hotter, but Leia is a classic... The real question is will people recognize you as Arwen? Everyone knows Leia.

No, but really, chances are that most people wont recognize Arwen, and you can get way more creative with a Leia costume

definitely arwen. elegant and subdued elvish princess beats spoiled attention seeking princess any day, even in a slave costume. plus, I'm sure you would make an even better arwen than liv tyler.

Haha I try :P Yeah, that's very true, Princess Leia will get more of a reaction out of people. Unfortunately this generation doesn't know much about LotR... :rolleyes:

I definitely thought of that too, and considered using my BPs, but since it's so darn cold here in October... I'd get stuck just answering the door all night with them, which is not nearly as fun!

That's what I liked about Arwen, too - the fact that she's very understated and lets things speak for themselves. Hehe, oh I don't know if I can even come close to competing with Liv Tyler though! :P :oops:

true, some people may not recognize arwen, but you'll know immediately that you can relate to those who do. and for the record, I think you'd put liv tyler to shame. keep us posted on your decision.

So here's how it went down - I'd decided on Arwen, and started my costume hunt. I searched high and low in every nook and cranny of every dingy costume store I could find. I searched online, and didn't find anything that would fit me (I'm a short girl!)

So, although I'd love to go as Arwen, I've decided on going as a 40's pin up sailor girl. I will post pics when I wear the costume :P I'm going to do the whole red lipstick and victory rolls in my hair, I'm going to take it to the nines (hopefully my hair will cooperate!)

between the 2.. I think others bring a valid point.. you will have to get VERY detailed if you want people to recognize you as Arwen..

do princess Leigh, but put her in a star trek outfit..

and let the fights BEGIN.. lol
