    this is horrible!
I have so many problems with my ball pythons right now there are only 2 which are perfectly fine......out of 4...used to be 6....
Ok let me start at the beginning I rescued a banded reduced pattern female a year ago who seriously had scabs on half her body I got them healed got her used to being handled and got her to eat rats again yay lucky ok so then I got a caramel albino female I was so ecstatic about her she was my first expensive morph 2 weeks later my father brought me this really pretty normal female and she was one big girl and a few days later they brought me a het albino male who is very different. Ok well after having those female for a while in quarantine I put them together for half an hour to clean cages well after I got their cages all cleaned I weighed them and the caramel and reduced were at 900 grams and the normal was 1600 yay for gaining weight well i went to my mothers for a while and left them in the care of my family. I came back to visit to find my caramel dead! First ball python I have ever lost in my entire life and that was a hard hit in the stomach. I got her out and the cage disinfected completely and stored. 4 weeks later I came and got them and a week later noticed the norm wasnt active and wasnt eating but somehow was going to the bathroom everywhere multiple times and the next day she passed too. Wow second ball python....I knew something was up so now today I went to clean cages once again and my reduced female is going to the bathroom everywhere! and its a reddish brown! For the past 3 weeks she wont eat either and now shes coiled in the corner of her cage....remember she weighed 900 grams well I just weighed her 10 minutes ago and now shes at 706.....you can tell she is soo skinny her spine is sticking out badly...Im going to take her to the vet to see if i can save her once again but i dont know what is going on......does anyone have a clue? do you think she will make it? if she does there is no way I would ever get rid of her she will be my hero I cant lose her I love her I worked so hard to get her where she was...right now im keeping her water completely purified and i have layers of paper towls soaking up her potty messes and im constantly taking them out and replacing them i took everything out to disinfect please someone give me advice? as for the other one that has something wrong with is the het albino male he has an RI again I cant get it to stay gone... but his weight is healthy hes at 1406 grams hes nice for an 08 anyone have idea on how to keep it gone?
sorry its so long everyone im just so worried and angry right now

IT could be so many things, your best bet is get to a vet. Sounds like your dealing with something that is serious and contagious!

Sorry I can't be more help.

Sounds like a virus that was spread one to the other when cleaning.

Need to not disinfect the cages, but rather put them to curb and buy new ones. More you keep using the more itll keep happening till you know what it is.

Internal parasites can cause them to have nasty stools multiple times and lose weight. For them to die from it they must be badly infested.

thats what i thought too about the spreading of it and it just hit so hard out of no where the 4 snakes that dont have it are completely away from the reduced female im so scared of losing her should i put her in a new cage now or wait till after the vet gives me something for it to make it go away?

What was your family feeding them and what were they using to clean the cages and water bowls while the snakes were in their care?

They fed them rats and rat pups from the pet store the male didnt eat when they offered all of them cause he was shedding the 2 smaller bps ate rat pups that were a few weeks old i guess? Could that be the reason? I clean the cages with bleach water twice and every other cleaning I treat with pam. In the summer I tend to let them sun dry should I stop doing that? Seeing as it is outside and there could be parasites. I just thought glass tanks would kill parasites sitting in temps under the sun at about 105 right now.

You're treating with PAM too often, but as long you were using it very sparingly and allowing to completely dry before putting snakes and water bowls back in, then like Rich said, it had to be a virus or a very serious parasite load.

omg im sorry to hear that.whatever is going on is already infected and will only infect a new enclosure and furnishings.herpvet asap!!! and herpvet any new snakes. i dont have experience in this but that is what i feel i would do in this situation. i think the bleach water and drying out in the sun would kill anything and wouldnt be the problem as you probably did this forever.something new came into your home with the new snakes.herpvet would know exactly what to do.again im sorry and i hope your darlings pull through.

Quarantine all your snakes away from another(different rooms) if possible to keep what ever from spreading to your collection. Any snakes you add in the future should be quarantined for 3 months especially rescues or Craigslist purchases.

Quarantine should be in a different room, with a separate set of tools. Disinfect yourself after doing anything with the quarentined animal.
