Congrats Dave. I think between this girl and that fire you have some ridiculous ringers. Best of luck on the clutch man!

    Thanks everyone!!

She was bred to a fire ringer that came from a clutch where all the fires were ringers...

    Only 57 days to go!

    It's "just" a champagne...it was produced from a champ x normal breeding.

I don't think "ringer" is an accurate term for what we're seeing there. :P Maybe a new pied gene? Is it remotely possible that the founding stock were het pieds and no one realized it? (We've seen that happen a number of times with albino and ghost morphs)

Super cinny pied is panda pied. Black pastel x black pastel x pied, black pastel x cinnamon x pied, cinnamon x cinnamon x pied are all panda pied.

Judy, a couple of people have suggested that but both snakes came from different breeders and they've both produced subsequent clutches without producing similar animals. The male I used was a fire that was a ringer as well. Champagnes seem to throw ringers, mom is just an extreme example. Also, the fire champagne I produced last year from different parents was a ringer as well. That's why I thought this breeding might give me good results...

LOL...well, no matter what is going on, you weren't wrong about that!!

I still can't help but wonder if there's some new form of piebaldism (just making up new words as I go along! :P ) going on. Regardless, though, they're ALL gorgeous! Congrats!

I've never seen a ringer so I didn't know they could look so much like a pied.

Thanks, future breedings should help clear things up. All four of the "ringers" are females so I still need a male to get things really going.

I've seen some champagnes with pretty neat ringers that came from breedings without ringer parents. Seems like lots of paradox and ringer champagnes are popping up, fun stuff!

Most ringers look like the father and aren't nearly as extreme as mom. That's why I called her an extreme ringer, plus my lack of creativity. :D
