New GTP enclosure.....inhabitant coming soon.
In anticipation of my GTP being delivered, I decided to make a naturalistic display enclosure for her....as they are such a fantastic display animal. The enclosure is an Animal Plastics 48"L x 18"D x 22"H and is heated with an 80 watt RBI Radiant Heat Panel. I will post pics of my new GTP as soon as she gets settled in to her new home.

Nice looking cage. I'm sure your GTP will be more than happy in there.

NICE set up and beautiful snake. We definitely need to see some more pics of her.

Here ya go..... She was a little hissy at first, but no strikes yet. I have to admit that chondro's get a bad stereotype. I'm sure there are some nasty ones...but they aren't ALL pure evil...lol. I love how these pics show off her blue diamonds.

I don't remember if you posted where you ordered yours from or if you built it yourself. So, if you already did post that information then I apologize.
It is an Animal Plastics enclosure. 48"L x 18"D x 23"T

I cut the tree branches off of a small white oak tree in my backyard, scrubbed them down with a bleach/water mixture, rinsed EXTREMELY WELL, and let them bake in the 95 degree sun for a couple days. I also use a Dremel tool to grind any sharp or pointy parts off of the branches.
They are being held up there by ordinary closet rod holders which are attached to the inside of the enclosure with industial strength velcro. I wanted everything to be easily removable when it came time to clean the cage.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words!!!

I got my RHP from Reptile Basics. I got the 80 watt model and it covers about 1/3 of the length of the tank and about 90% of the width. If you email Rich with your cage dimensions and the type of animal you are putting in it, he will tell you which wattage RHP will suit your needs.
Are you trying to put one in a glass tank? I'm not sure how to do that. RHP's are usually mounted on the ceiling of the enclosure. I've never seen one on the back or side of a tank. Ask Rich at Reptile Basics....he is the expert.

Its not a bad idea...they are only about 2" thick. I'm just not sure how you would mount it to the glass. It is screwed into the top of my PVC enclosure, but obviously you can't screw into glass.
If i'm not being too nosy....why do you want to use a RHP instead of an under tank heater?
