Lame with a capital L. Very low to fish for likes from a community of ball python lovers for your own gain. Total FAIL material. First tossing your burmese pythons into the wild now fishing for likes. Give it a rest man.

Though this thread is a bit strange, you can't really jump on him about the Burm situation. He caught those Burms in the wild and released them back where he found them. He lives in a country where Burms are native, I see no reason to bash on him for releasing a wild animal back into its natural habitat.
Different cultures, different lifestyles and choices.

Not choosing sides or bashing anyone here, just thought I should clarify.

I can't remember exactly where the OP lives, but when and issue such as this one arose in another one of his threads one of the moderators checked his IP address which I suppose showed what country he lives in.

Like I said, different cultures. It can be difficult for us who have lived in the United States our entire lives to grasp the differences in lifestyle between us and those living in other countries such as the OP. It's a shame so many people are quick to judge. :hmm: (Not necessarily implying that you are, by the way.. just in general.)

i didnt look up the thread where he released a snake into the wild. but even if he caught it and kept it around other captive snakes then released it back into the wild he could possibly be spreading disease to the wild population. so yeah, thats a big no no IMO!

yeah it could be different culture or just his personality cause im sure there is another enthusiasts where ever pp is and has different morals that wouldnt take from nature.without getting much into psychology or culture i personally wouldnt take any animal from the wild unless it was in the store which i would still feel guilty for doing.everything originated in the wild which is why i try to make my pets feel at home in their enclosures which is why i did judge pp in a different thread.but enough of this and that.i dont like vagueness it leaves room for the mind to create ideas that arent possibly true.

hey johan.fyi i live in Malaysia(Asia).try google it if u still dont know about my country.

cecilbturtle, i never keep it with other snake.that why i return all my burm to the wild,i dont want my bp get disease from my burm or my burm get disease from my bp.n i have limited space in my room.so i just let go my burm n start with bp.

mark n marley, in my country,bp price is 3 time higher than the normal price n i still cant apply for credit card.if i can win this credit card,i can order n buy bp from other country with normal price.n i am working to open my own pet shop right now, still searching the right place to open 1,so i think it really important to me.

Releasing animals that are wild caught and kept captive can be extremely dangerous for the ecosystem where they are released. The released animals have the potential to harbor pests and disease that could seriously hurt the remaining native ecosystem.Furthermore, the animals may lose the ability to live as a wild animal and quickly be killed predators etc. This has absolutely nothing to do with culture and everything to do with protecting the native ecosystem that is left in your country. People release Burmese in the wild in the USA as well, and it has nothing to do with culture to say that is okay---in fact is actually a lot more stupid. This is about science, and nothing else.

Finally, you come here tugging on peoples heart strings about loving ball pythons and such, while snakes clearly seem to be nothing more than a business for you. Why would you drop off snakes into the wild if you actually had any kind of love for them. Its all about you and nothing else.

Not to press any buttons here, but this argument about him releasing wild Burns back into their habitat has already come and gone in a previous thread of his. It's quite unnecessary to spark a fire that has already been extinguished. Just my opinion, of course.

Man. Some people are just jerks. Sorry Psycho.

The man lives in the native habitat of burms. There are no invasive pests in his house that are not already in the habitat. I don't know how many times I had caught garter snakes when I was a child, kept them for awhile, and then released them into my backyard. I will encourage my kids to do the same.

Even now, if I find a wild/native animal that has been injured. I will try to help it, and release it after it has healed. I can tell you, I haven't killed all the wildlife around my country home yet.

I don't understand what you think will happen? I'm fairly certain since we can't change our snakes natural hunting instinct, I really doubt they would have any trouble surviving in the wild.
