    Have a bit of a problem -.-
My little sis decided she wanted to play with my baby ball python today while i was aat school, somehow she managed to get the poor thing stuck in some medical tape and now im not quite sure what to do

the snake managed to get some off herself, but where the tape was, its all red now. Not nessicarily like shes bleeding, but maybe just stress on the scale from her rubbing it off? Shes also missing a few scales off another place, and some on her belly seem to be ruffled

Can i just clean her up and keep it dry? or should is it bad enough that i should make a vet visit

Without pictures it's hard to tell, but I would definitely clean her up, maybe try soaking her so whatever tape is left comes off without injuring her. Use Neosporin (just plain, no pain killer) on the spots that were damaged, and just apply that a couple times a day. If she starts showing signs of infection I'd definitely take her to a vet for possible antibiotics.

Oh, and make sure your little sister knows better next time, maybe you should keep your pet in a safer place to avoid her (I'm assuming) small hands.

Ohhh boy she should definitely know better than to tape a snake....oh well what's done is done. I'd try and soak that tape off asap though before she gets it off herself and possibly cause more damage than what's already done. Make sure the Neosporin is the original without the painkiller.

X3 I also think a lock would be number one on my list too. Good luck to you and I hope your baby does alright.

Bummer. Than I might have a sit down with the family and talk about how to treat living animals. I don't know if it was an accident or not but it may help with future prevention. Luck to you!

Believe me she'll never touch my poor little snake again.

    She tapped my snake
    I deleted her facebook.

I agree with the advice given by LGray23. Just be extremely careful with removing the tape. Depending on what type it is, medical tape can be almost as strong as duct tape. :( Definitely get a lock.. mine are in tubs now, so they aren't locked like they were when I used tanks, but everyone knows not to even go in my room without me there. I'm extremely protective of my BPs lol. Though, only my younger brother will actually hold them. Keep us updated!

Edit: Just saw that you built the enclosure yourself. If you're handy, you should be able to modify it in some way to simply attach a little padlock ;)
