What do you think she is?
I recently picked up this female. She might be gravid, but only time will tell. She's about to shed soon, so she isn't that bright.

I was told she's a pastel, but the pattern seems off. Or my eyes are off. But I'm open to your opinions. After she sheds I'll post newer pictures.

From the patterns and colours, I am sure it is a pastel, just brown out but I believe it was much brighter last time when it is still a baby. Another way you can check is by looking at their eyes, pastel tend to have a yellowish eye and a normal have golden(near black). Hope this helps

Just becuase it's a super, does not mean the babies will not brown out. Unless your saying all your pastel combos will be super. Which is a lot of work, but either way you will still get pastels, that always have a chance of browning out.

I think she's gorgeous. And, she'll look better after a fresh shed.

Yup, I've seen plenty of UGLY super pastels out there too.

Super pastel or regular, you just have to take your time picking out your breeding snakes, and take your time selecting holdbacks.

I've seen dozens and dozens of bumblebees [ Pastel Spiders ] most are nice, a few are ugly, but the one I remember I saw at a show back in December, She was solid yellow and white with pattern. Not a speck of cream, grey or tan on her. She was hands down the most incredible bee I've ever seen, and believe me if I'd had the $3K she'd have been mine.

It may take me another 5 years to find one like her, but I'm willing to wait.

On the other hand, I also saw a super pastel at that same show that was totally light brown, not a speck of yellow on it. Even though it was way below market value, it didn't sell all day, because it just wasn't a nice super.

Sorry but if thats the case it wasn't a Super. It was just a Pastel. The guy might of had it listed as a Super but.... well thats what guys at shows do sometimes unfortunately;)

I disagree. There are incredibly ugly pastels and super pastels out there. If you breed two ugly pastels, most likely you will get an ugly super pastel. Just because it is a super doesnt mean it's pretty.

Second pic is a hatchling super. Even if it doesnt brown out AT ALL (which I highly doubt) it wont be a nice adult. Considering people dont normally advertise the ugliest animals they produce, if I can find this in a couple minutes of looking around Im sure there is much worse out there.

Now what about that proves its a Super? Because the seller says that it is, just ugly? To me it looks like a regular pastel? It has like no head or body blushing:confused:

Yes, but a really ugly super would look just like a pastel. You asked for a picture of an ugly super and I posted one so you would know what Im talking about. As I said before, nice pastels will probably produce nice supers, is it so hard for you to believe that ugly pastels (and we all know they are out there) produce ugly supers? Refusing to call a super a super because it is ugly doesnt mean its not a super.

Ok, but I originally posted for MY projects I am not using regular pastels because I dont want any browning out or even a chance for what I'm doing. Hence why I am using only Supers. Maybe I should have wrote very high quality supers but I thought that would pretty much be a given after my statement of browning out.....
I am trying to design and breed crazy morphs with mind blowing colors so for ME, Regualr Pastels are just not where its at. :gj:

I agree with pastel and I love her pattern. Would like to see her after she sheds. Very picky about pastels myself, hope she works out for you!

I was never talking about your supers. I was referring to your comment that if it is ugly, it must be a pastel. Im glad your using higher end genes in your collection and that will lessen your chances of seeing the animals brown out. However, my point was that you cannot assume that just because it is a super it will be pretty.
