    OMG, they're pipping!! (DUW)
Day 57 and I was leaning over my egg tub with scissors, debating over whether or not to cut... then one of the babies decided to answer, by showing me the hole he'd made himself! With the first official pip, I decided to go ahead and cut the rest. OMG, my hands were shaking so much, I did a horrible job on the first few eggs. And they're still stuck together like glue, so I actually had to cut them while still in the tub - probably a good thing, since I was shaking enough that I may have dropped them.

It looks like I have 3 normals, 1 or 2 pastels, and the last one is throwing me for a loop... this might be a double-daddy clutch, because it looks an awful lot like a Mojave! Btw, the first one who pipped was the one I was most worried about, and had dubbed "pancake egg." It got severely dented early into incubation, so I guess he got sick of the lack of space. :D Also interesting to notice he was bigger and drier than the others, so clearly he's farther along in absorbing the yolk. Here are some - okay LOTS of - photos, and I'll post an update once they emerge.

Egg #1 - Normal (and first to pip)

Egg #2 - Pastel (the one I predicted as a pastel! Hehe)
    http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...3/P1010990.jpg

Egg #3 - Not sure? Looks almost half normal and half pastel, LOL.

    Egg #4 - Normal

    Egg #5 - Normal

Egg #6 - Mojave or light normal?? :confuzd:

Congrats! I think that one maybe pastel looks like a normal. No idea on the possible mojave. You'll just have to wait for them to crawl out now! That's great though, all live babies!

Thanks! :) I'm thinking that one is a normal too, but it looks to have an interesting pattern... really confused on that last one, though! I took another look inside the egg, and it really doesn't look like a normal or pastel.

I will, for sure! :) Here's another picture of that last egg's head... I'm thinking now that it's just a nice pastel. Not that I care, since I'm just thrilled they're all alive and well!

    Re: OMG, they're pipping!! (DUW)
Thanks to everyone for the comments! :) I'm soooooo excited, mostly that they all appear healthy... doesn't matter if they're ALL normals, as long as they come out okay - right? I am back on the fence with that "mystery egg," though, after taking a better look today. I dunno, but he/she REALLY looks more like a Mojave than pastel... the overall coloring is very gray/silver-ish, and I see a few of the Mojave keyhole markings on there. I'm also now confused about the one I labeled pastel, since there's a chance it's just a high-yellow normal (but still leaning more towards pastel).

So at this point I either have 4 normals and 2 pastels, 5 normals and a Mojave, or 4 normals 1 pastel & 1 Mojave. Guess the waiting game doesn't stop even after cutting, LOL. :P Anyway, thanks again and I'll post when they're all out! The first pipper's egg is looking very dried out now, so I have a feeling he'll emerge tonight or tomorrow.

Btw, does anyone have pictures of a Mojave and/or pastel still in the egg? Since this is my first clutch, it would help to see what they're supposed to look like at this point. :gj:

LOL... I thought I was boring y'all with my barrage of photos! :D Did you see my thread on the photos subforum? So far only one is completely out, and the other 5 are just now starting to emerge. Here are a few more photos to tide you over:

Finally got them all separated, and removed the bad egg... the inside looked like scrambled eggs. Blech. :P

Okay, two more are out! The remaining three sure are taking their time, as they haven't even started poking their noses out... all are still alive & squirmy, though, and the fluid is lessening every day. I think those three eggs were farthest from the heat source, so it actually makes sense they'd take a few days longer. But sheesh, why does the Mojave have to be one of them? I wanna see it already!!

Here are the next two who emerged... both weighing 68g, popping as females, and showing some cool patterns (partial black-backs!). So if my popping is correct, the tally so far is 0.3 normals. :gj:

Thank you! I'm not sure why the others are taking so much longer, but I'm guessing it was due to uneven heating inside the tub? I didn't use an A/C fan (since it was only one clutch in a small mini-fridge), and the flexwatt was mounted on two sides of the fridge. They all still look good and healthy, though. :gj:

Thank you! I know they're "just" normals, but I think they're awfully pretty - of course I'm biased, LOL. ;)

The remaining three are pipping now, so I expect they'll emerge overnight... unfortunately it seems I busted out on the odds, but the good news is that my ONE morph is a Mojave. Now let's hope it's a girl!!
