Just found out constrictors arent aloud in the Hometown.
Anyone had to deal with this? What are the consquences? Would anyone really find out and do anything? I own a baby ball python and planned on breeding eventually.

Are you using the term constrictor as an official name or as a method to kill thier prey?
If you are talking about the name of a snake, then you are okay. Balls are Pythons. If you are talking about the method used to kill, then that is almost every pet snake you can own.
Hopefully, Ball Pythons are still legal.

Well, if ball pythons fall into that - then no one here is going to be able to make suggestions or encourage you to break the law there.

Well in Galesburg Illinois you are not allowed to own any constricting snakes in the city limits.Since just about every snake constricts to kill there prey they are all illegal to posses in city limits. So i think you might be in the same boat.If you break the law they will probably fine you heavily. So either move yourself and your snakes or remove the snakes.

My plan is to move him out onto my step dads farm, but thats 30 miles away which means I wouldnt be able to see the little guy much. I plan on moving to a town in which only venemous snakes are prohibited in a few months..

Okay well it looks like you are up a creek here. I just found this on the city's website. I would move outside city limits or move the snake outside of city limits.

Re: Just found out constrictors arent aloud in the Hometown.
I think bats are in there because of the "causing disease among, human beings or domestic animals" part of the dangerous animal description.
You could always right a petition have it signed by as many voting age residents of storm lake as you can and take it to a city council meeting. The City of Edgewater ( where I live) was trying to ban all reptiles, it had already gone thru the first vote and they where going to pass it with the second vote. I wrote a petition, collected signatures and researched the legality of banning all reptiles city wide when the state of FL issues permits for you to have some species. Long story short we (the petition signers and I) won.
Just because your city has the ordinance it doesn't mean you can't get it changed. It just takes a lot of work.

very true~az rattlesnakes were being allowed to be kept by anyone with a hunting license until I pointed out the laws to fish and game. Over an 11 day period of straight communication between myself and two agents they discovered the "logic" behind the laws tho still not sure how a water buffalo is less dangerous than a hedge hog but that's me lol persistence and facts is all I used, as well as going up the ladder when no one would listen
