What would you get for a Bumble Bee male?

I have 3 normal females and one pastel female, all about 1000 grams and I am hoping to breed them in 6 months or so (they should all be around 1200-1500 grams). I am about to buy a 700g male bumble bee. What other females do you recommend I get and what would they produce? Thanks for any info/opinions!

I second the lesser, and all the others, but lesser/butter bees are some really outstanding animals. Firefly's are gorgeous too, if you are looking for eye pleasers. Enchi's make great combos as well, but I think the first off that list would be a lesser.

You could always just go for the spider, and create your own bees :)

I'm gonna have to look into the Lesser. I figured just using pastels would at least give me a shot at some more Bumble Bees and slight chance of Killer Bees and Super Pastels. Breeding him with a Spider would be the same as breeding him with a Pastel right (for the most part)?

Get a super Pastel for the money it's the better option to breed .. 50/50 on most stuff.

Or even better, if you can afford it, a female lemon blast -- that way you can shoot for super spinner blasts (killer blasts?) on the first breeding.

personally, i would invest in a lesser pastel. queen bees are hawt. so are super pastel spinners though...

u definitely want a double morph.

I would love a Lesser Pastel, but I know its so hard to find one that is close to breeding weight. What does a good Lesser Pastel female (800+grams) go for? I will be on the look out for a female Lemon Blast, Super Pastel, and Lesser Pastel.........maybe I will find one close to 1000g for a descent price (I could only hope)! Their is a reptile show in Arlington, TX next month, maybe I'll get lucky there.

I would say you could find a lesser pastel for around $1200-1400 but unless you get real lucky I doubt you will get a female that's 800g+. If I were you I would shell out the extra cash for the double co-dom.Its worth it in the long run.

What double co-doms? Sorry, I am still pretty new to all this....learning fast though. I am probably going to have to wait a while to get a Lesser and some of the others, at least until I can afford some good quality girls.

I have 3 normal females that are all about 1000 grams, 2 female pastels that are 1000 grams, and 1 female pastel that is 1750 grams. I was hoping to breed the 6 of them to my 700 gram 08 male Bumble Bee. In 6-7 months, they should all be well over 1200 grams, hopefully most of them above 1500 grams. I know I have a slim possiblity of getting a Killer Bee or Super Pastel, which I was hoping to make some trades for the Lesser, Pin, etc. Thanks for your opinions and if you have any other comments, I'd love to hear them.

double co-dom = 2 different co-dom genes in the same animal
ie: firefly, pewter

If you bred him with a pastel you'd have a shot at killerbees, while if you bred him to a spider you wouldn't. Some people think that the super spider is a lethal gene and they don't survive, so you might just get a bunch of dead babies. The ratio of morphs would be the same as if you were to breed him to a pastel, but where with a pastel you'd get killerbees, you'd get dead babies with a spider. (Or maybe babies that look like regular bumblebees who are super spiders. Probably not.)

I know I said get a blast but after looking at a pick of the bumble bee mojave I would say get a female pastave
