Weirdest shot ever!

I do not drink often or a lot, however, tonight was my brother's 21st b-day and while I had no intention of consuming alcohol, my brother asked me to do two shots with him. One of the shots was something really yummy. Called a Rumplemintz. :D

The first shot, however, was the weirdest thing that I have ever had the pleasure/displeasure of having in my mouth. A cement mixer! Has anyone ever tried one of these? Weird! Not bad tasting but the texture was really strange. Not sure if I'll ever do one of these again though.

Cement mixers are DEFINITELY weird in texture.

It was funny because my brother's friend was telling us how to do it (it was presented with two shot glasses, one with Bailey's one with lime and you take the Baileys and then the lime and swish) and my brother and I took the shot at the same time but he didn't swish his and I did, so he didn't get the same effect. It felt like cottage cheese!

As I said, I really don't drink all that much so when my brother's friends started suggesting all these drinks and shots he should try, I was like "What the heck are those?" My brother also tried these:

Test Tube Baby
Something that smelled like licorice
Four Horsemen

My favorite shot would be a red headed (not sure i can say the rest) I will leave it up to our imagination. Soo yummy though. make sure you get the shot not the drink its a big difference.

My friend mentioned something called a red headed (bad name for a promiscuous woman). She said it was really good.

I've never heard of any of those! Granted, I just turned 21 myself so I'm still new to that world.

The only shots I've done is Jack Daniels, Jager (which is probly the licorice smelling stuff you were talking about), and Bacardi 151. I will NEVER drink Bacardi 151 again after that night.

I am a pretty stout and veteran drinker and let me tell you. The only reason to drink a cement mixer is to throw up. If someone buys one for someone else it's usually done to laugh at an unexperianced drinker.

My favorite shot is just a equal parts combo of

Vanilla brandy
Chambord
Frangelico

This just happens to be Big Gunns signature shot....well...without the "A".:D BG loves to get one for unsuspecting fans. "Really yummy"? BG has never heard it called that before though. A shot of Rumps will however clear your sinuses.:D

My favorite shot is a plain old Lemon Drop. With good vodka.

Mezcal is my number one favorite. Another good one that chicago people may be familiar with is the south sider (ala sox fans) its basically one shot of half three wise men half tabasco sauce, it's delicious!

I hate cement mixers... It's basic chemistry at work. There are 3 basic chemical properties: acids, bases, and salts. Acids and bases neutralize each other, which is why alot of houshold cleaners and chemicals will say,"In case of injestion comsume milk, vinegar, orange juice, etc..." When you mix the ingredients of a Cement Mixer, the acid in the lime is mixing with the base of the cream in Bailey's and they chemically cancel each other. Your refernce to the cottage cheese was close. You are basically swallowing flavored, curdled milk... :puke2:

Yea, not sure why I added the "a". I found it to be incredibly yummy. Of course, I love mint. My friend did mention there are two "strengths" of this stuff, I think. Maybe I got the lower strength, but it definitely cleared my sinuses. Haha.

With the cement mixer, yea, it was pretty weird, but I didn't feel like I had to throw up though. I'm pretty sure now, though, that I never want to try it again.

I personally don't like Rumplemintz, and have never had a cement mixer. My favorite shots are Silver Patron and Jagerbombs. I also like Irish car bombs.

every time i get drunk at the bar with my buddy he always tries to get me to do it but he got me one time i cant remember the name of the shot but it was tequila and hot sauce my buddy didnt remember i have an ulcer so yeah i was done drinking for the night:tears:

I don't do shots anymore, no longer in college. I take things a little slower now, I prefer to savor my beverages of choice. You can judge a drink's "attitude" by what glass is used to serve it. My drinking attitude is that of a lowball.

As far as what I like goes, my personal favorite shot is a dead nazi. 1/2 Rumple Minze, 1/2 Jagermeister. Yummy *and* potent. Haven't had one in years, though - I barely drink these days.

(The people earlier in the thread who called it "rumplemintz" got the spelling wrong.)

When I looked it up online, that is how they spelled it. I dunno. All I know is, I like the flavor.

I was going to mention something along these lines but they beat me to it. Any milk product does bad things when citrus is introduced. I put cream in my coffee. A friend once squeezed a lemon in my coffee to show me what it did. Needless to say, I didnt taste it lol.

I take it you didn't yet hear that Absinthe is now legal to sell and buy in the USA? As of at least a year ago. Of course the stuff you can get here is not going to be the quality of european absinthe but at least now you can have it legally shipped to you if you buy online from germany etc.. Or you can call all your local liquor stores and see if any by you carry it. Just FYI :cool:

just reading about the "cement mixer" makes me want to THROW UP! and i'm only on my first st. patty's beer!!

i can't even drink orange juice with pulp! let alone curdled alcohol... :puke:
