As requested by Big Gunns...Repticon Punk-a-thon

I was honored (not really) to be setup as a vendor at the Repticon Columbia show beside the man, the legend (in his own mind), Big Gunns!! BG is every bit the "character" in person he is here on the forums. We had a great time, but if we had to stay much longer Mrs Fat Boy would have probaly killed BG!! She is used to living with a sweet, humble man (Fat Boy). She is not used to being around loud, cocky men (Big Gunns) :) Well the theme of the weekend was BG staying annonoumous....There were several BP.netters there and they pretty much all (thank you) came by my table to say "HI". While talking I would bring up BG, "What do you think about that Big Gunns dude"..."I was hoping BG would come so we could see how he is in person"...these were some of the comments I would make to start conversation. Everyone would share their "true feelings" about Big Gunns (not good) unknowingly that he was sitting right beside me listening to every word. When the .netter had expressed their true feelings :rolleye2: Mrs Fat Boy would say "I'd like to introduce you to Big Gunns!!" We had a blast! Big Gunns is a true sport and never got mad about any of the comments. In all fairness, I got to meet the "real BG". He is a nice guy with plenty of BP knowledge, thanks for helping make it a fun weeekend Neil.
If you were a victim of the Big Gunns Punk-a-thon share your story here...share what you said about BG and don't leave out the good parts!!!

C'mon Patrick, he's harmless! I can't speak for the other mods and admins, and whether they "love" BG, but he actually shares good information, and takes time to answer newbie questions, that a lot of veteran members no longer do.

While you may find his persona annoying, others appreciate that he actually does take the time to help and share what's worked for him.

Get past his persona and he's an interesting person to talk to. :)

I was setup with fatboy passing out VYPER cd's and I had left for like 5 mins, when I came back Mrs. Fatboy asked me if there was anyone on BP.net that was cocky?!?!? First thing to come out of my mouth was BG!!! I said he has an EGO that could fill this room next thing I know Neil was next to me with his hand out saying " Hi I am BIG GUNNS" man oh man I was red!!!

You and Fatboy are leaving out a couple of facts. Big Gunns was set up next to Fatboy for a couple hours before he let the big guy know who he was. Jeff also was there for a few hours trying to sell his Vyper software(he needs BG salesman tips:D). He even gave BG the whole run down on it for ten minutes never knowing he was talking to The Man, The Myth, The Legend in his own mind.:D How he couldn't figure it out is BEYOND BG's comprehension. Who else could be so awesome?:D

Well I was asked by Frankie what was my opinion on Big Gunns, and I proceeded to say that I figured that BG was "120 pounds soaking wet" and was "Probably institutionalized in a mental institution more than once" among other things Im sure, but those were the two "highlights". Yeah you guys got me good, I'll admit to that. Before meeting BG I did believe what I was saying, but after meeting BG I do not think he was "institutionalized in a mental institutionalized more than once", he is a cool guy who is not as insane as he may sometimes seem. I also don't think he is "120 pounds soaking wet"........he is atleast a buck forty. :bow: Much love BG!

I'm right there with ya, Robin. When I first started reading his posts I thought he was gonna be a handful. I honestly think that he does pass good info and actually takes an interest in issues that people are having here, especially new keepers. I met him briefly at Hamburg, but his greatness was too blinding so it's all kind of a blur. I do however remember that he had some great animals.
He's also extremely humble which I can appreciate;)

Yeah I'd agree with Walt. When BG first started to post a lot it got on my nerves, but after talking to him and actually getting into the detail of his posts I realized he's a great guy. But also a guy who wants to see how angry people get at him for his silliness then end up being a huge fan.:rofl:

I think that whoever is a BG fan should put "I'm a BG fan" in their signature:D

Wrong...it was twice, but only because BG started telling people he wasn't the GREATEST(Ali was) for a few days a couple of times. They locked BG right up and straightened him out real quick.:D

It's 145lbs....but BG can reach 160 when Pimp Daddy Neil is around with all that hair gel.:D

"Not as bad as some of the others"????? OK, it looks like BG is gonna need to tell the story. MissGunns(formerly MissDixie):D and her X hubby came to the show and met Fatboy who was set up next to his Greatness. They were talking numerous times, all the while BG is right there listening. We did not let them in on the joke as easy as the others though. Jeff was having a leeetle get together with a couple people at his house that was 10 hours away(Jeff said 15 minutes) and doesn't show up on any Navigation(that's another story).:taz: BG made it there, but only because he can navigate by looking at the stars. He needed two tanks of gas, and a tune up, but he made it. He walked in the house and was introduced as Damon. We all had a leeetle chit chat for about an hour. Jeffs X wife(left him for BG) had made some hamburgers that BG grubbed down along with some cake.

After doing so BG(Damon) said he was going to the car to get some dessert for everyone. While walking there MissFatboy almost blew the whole thing. Everyone was talking about Big Gunns at the time and she says. "How do you feel about BG Neil"????? BG thought it was all over right there, but those Alabamans are not too swift. They didn't catch the slip up(you see BG is supposed to be Damon).

OK...so BG goes to the car and gets his dessert and comes back and asks MissGunns if she wants any. Now what was it???? Subway Macadamia cookies of course. He then proceeded to tell them that he was in fact.....The Man, The Myth, The Legend in his own mind. Unfortunately the rest of the story is X rated. There was mad hysteria and womens clothes flying everywhere. BG barely made it out of the kitchen with his life.:D

Now that's how to Punk someone.:D

"Met him"??? When was this? BG did hear someone pass him and say "that's Big Gunns". However they did not say anything else. Was that you? Don't tell BG you were too nervous to introduce yourself. This is a common problem that they have clinics for, but BG didn't think you would have this problem Waltah.:D

Actually.... BG can sometimes be out of it from lack of sleep at a show...and he must have been Waltah...he has no recollection of the intro. Sorry dude. You should have said you were Waltah from the forums. Big Gunns would have made some time for yah...and maybe even introduced you to some female fans.(not):D
