I was really trying to get this Female Pin on hole and called the guy like 5 times and he never awnsered me. I also sent a couple of emails. The I saw his new ad and he had sold her. I even talked to him on the first call but I had to wait for my dad to get home from work to ask him if I could. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

All 3 of those pins look strange to me, almost like something else was added... I would love to see the african special mom... nice pins, hard to lose out on one you really want.

Aaw, bummer! I saw that ad and it's a very nice pinstripe. That's a hard one to lose!

Yeah I know but when your 13 (like me) and you only earn 140 dollars here and there a month (like me) you dont have all the freedom of being able to buy a snake real fast, you have to save up for one. i just needed one more paycheck at the start of March to Get her!:tears::tears::tears:

Sorry, but because you are only 13, he might have been wary of making a deal with you as opposed to making a deal with your father. I myself don't make business deals with minors. It's not that I don't think there are responsible minors out there.. or that I think you yourself are a irresponsible minor.. but legally, no contract can be called binding if the 2nd party is a minor.

But agreed with the rest.. first money talks. It's not the seller's problem to arrange for the buyer to be able to have the funds or have permissions to buy a snake. But luckily for you, there's a lot of snakes available, and I'm sure you'll be able to find another snake you want.

I know how bad that sucks.

I found an awsome Lesser girl on Kingsnake. She was just what I wanted, I'd been wanting one like her for months. And to make matters worse, they were letting her go cheap because she was a mouser. But $750 might as well be $750,000 if you don't have it, and I don't.

She went fast of course, at half what they normally go for. I was ready to bawl I tell you. I'm trying to be philosophical about it, someday I'll have one, but it's hard to be patient sometimes.

Yup, the breeder always has the right to sell to the first person with the cash, all the cash. Holding an animal is 100% the breeders right to decline. I think the guy could have told you he wasn't interested in holding the animal but still totally his right.

My advice to you is to find someone that will work with you on a payment plan (some do) however I would have one of your parent dealing with the business end of the transaction as most breeder will not conduct business with a minor.

I am sure your ideal snake is out there sometimes you just need to be patient. ;)

I would love to have an albino, but I think the only way I could ever get one is on a payment plan, which luckily a lot of breeders will do...:D

You might want to send him an email letting him know that you was interested in the snake, deals fall thru all the time.

Yes I was going to have My dad do this for me but I didnt have the money at the time and I just needed to put her on hold for 17 days. :tears:

You didn't have the money but you wanted to have the guy hold the animal for two and a half weeks for you.. and trust that you, as a minor, would get the money in that time and still want the animal?

You have no reason to be mad. That's a bit of a unreasonable plan for getting a highly desirable snake(a female morph). I'd suggest you get the money together first, then have your father do the deals for you, or attend local shows with your parents to get the snakes in person. Just my advice.

I teach violin every week and get paid on the first lesson of the month, and I even actually earn $240 a month but put away 40% for colledge/savings, so yes I would have the money ready. And my father was part of holding and buying the snake. Also i never know when a great looking snake will pop up. And since I live in texas I dont hve the possibility of going to many shows.

If you were a frequent buyer than ya, I can see a guy holding a snake for 2 1/2 weeks with at least half down on the animal. However, it doesn't seem like you have bought from him before, nor that you put a deposit down. I'm sorry, but thats your error here. If you plan on getting a high demand animal, have your father put down at least 25% of what the animal cost preferably 50% to hold the animal. As the old saying goes, money talks bs walks. Someone came in with the cash and your snake walked.

At least you learned that 1. if your not going to put a deposit down, don't count on it to be held. 2. Put a deposit down on the animal that both you and the seller can agree on to hold the animal so it doesnt get sold. 3. Be prepared money wise as to what you want and how much it cost. Its always better to have the money ready to go, than to hope what you want will be there later.

Jacob, save your money up and have your dad email me in two years, and you can have a baby from the Pin. It is way to early for me to decide what I will be breeding to her, but it will be something with Pastel in it for sure.
