Poor little guy
I just walked outside to check the mail box and there was a squirrel in the road and I though it was dead so I started walking back to the house and then I noticed it moving so I walked over to him and it looks likes maybe the car hit his face. Hes bleeding from the nose pretty bad I picked him up off the road and brought him into my yard and went and got a rubbermaid tub and put him in it and sat some water in there if he wanted it. he just keeps walking in circles Dont know if he will make it or not but its worth a try

Re: Poor little guy
Walking in circles is not a good sign. Probably terminal. Nice of you to try, I'm sure he appreciates the gesture. Kind kind soul.

Re: Poor little guy
:( That is sad. Poor guy. Sounds like a pretty bad injury. I have my fingers crossed.
-
Re: Poor little guy
Denial you are such a good guy:) Makes me smile that you didn't just leave him there. The injury doesn't sound good at all but atleast if he goes, then he wasn't alone in a road:tears:
Not sure if you remember but you and I had talked a couple months ago about both of our relatives and addiction issues. Well, my sis relasped on 10/10/09 and was in a roll over car accident that day and ejected from the car with her friend (the driver). She has a broken neck and severe head trauma and he is on a ventilator with his entire top skull plate removed.....sigh.

Re: Poor little guy
Yea I couldnt just leave him. Hes actually sitting right here with me wrapped up in a towel. He stopped circling around a few hours ago and seems to be much more calm now but still seems to be in shock. Hes got very heavy breathing. I called our local wildlife rescue and they told me to keep him warm tonight and if he wasnt doing better in the morning to bring him in. So hopefully soon he will be better and good to go back home and hopefully stay away from the roads lol. Im really bad about getting animals off the road I stopped traffic on a VERY busy road in greenville sc to remove a snake out of the road and Ill tell you what I have never seen road rage displayed that bad before lol but I wasnt going to run over the poor thing. And I hit a deer a couple of years ago and started crying and stopped the car and the poor thing wasnt dead and I completly freaked out and ran over and tried to help it off the road and it kicked me in the stomach and broke one of my ribs. I couldnt ever go hunting lol Id start crying
I do remember talking to you and IM sorry about your sister. Ive already told my father if he relapses and gets back on that crap ill kill him before the cops could take him back to jail. Hes doing really well he actually got a job last week and got his drivers liscense back the week before that. I hope your sister makes a full recovery and ill pray she stays true and doesnt relapse again. It definatly puts a HUGE strain on the family.

Re: Poor little guy
Big Gunns has a similar sad story, but BG is too lazy to tell it right now. You'll all have to wait with great anticipation until Big Gunns decides to tell it.
-
Re: Poor little guy
Poor little guy, I hope he holds on. That was really kind of you to take the lil guy inside.
And wow, Buddhaluv, I am so sorry to hear that :(

Re: Poor little guy

Good, let us know the outcome. He even may be attached to you when he heals, so you may end up with a new pet.

This is the first time I have ever seen someone refer to themselves in the third person and not joking about it.

Re: Poor little guy
talk about bad timing. This little guy passed away the moment we turned into hillcrest animal hospitals parking lot. I really thought he was going to be ok. He seemed alot better today then he did last night

Big Gunns will tell his story now. Apparently likebull1 couldn't wait and gave BG a red rep point. Remember the name fans.;):D
OK...Big Gunns was driving across the country a few months ago(on secret mission) when he saw a couple a baby(almost adult) Raccoons hit by a car in the middle of the road. The mother was standing next to the one that was moving. She ran off when BG stopped the car. Big Gunns got out of the car and one was obviously dead, but the other appeared paralyzed from the waist down. WTF was Big Gunns gonna do?? He could here momma in the field calling to her kids, and the baby was calling back. Let's just say BG was very sad(he does have a heart).:tears::tears:
Big Gunns decided he just couldn't leave the baby there, so he put it in a box, then moved the dead one out of the road. BG got in his car and then looked for the closest VET with his navigation. He found one about 10 minutes away so BG was off.
About 2 minutes later at 70mph Big Gunns heard a crashing down the roof of the car. WTF was that? ****cuss word here*****. It's Big Gunns expensive video camera that he left on the roof. BG went back and found the carnage. Unbelievably, the only thing that was broken was the mike. BG picked up the camera and was off to the Vet. The leeetle guy never made it there. He died in route. BG has to say....The Man, The Myth, The Legend in his own mind got a leeetle misty eyed.:tears::tears:shhhhhhhhhh. Don't let that out.;)
Hope this sad story was worth the wait.

Sad story BG.:tears: I had to point something out though.....It's actaully a mic! Sorry, not only did I go to school for Audio Engineering but I do it for a profession also.;) I guess it's a pet peeve. I had a dog that I watched get hit by a car when I was younger and don't think I actually got over it.

No....Big Gunns calls his camera "Mike".:D
Don't let Big Guunns tell his dog hit by a car stories. They're all very sad. BG prefers to laugh and be happy....and sometimes annoy.;):D

That was so nice and kind of you for trying. Hopefully, the squirrel sensed it.

Re: Poor little guy
You definately made his last moments peaceful and I am sure he will be forever grateful of that. I think you might be the only person I know now with a guardian squirrel
I am so glad to hear that your father is on a better path still!!!! Awesome!!! You are absolutely right that when drugs are in the picture it affects the entire family in a huge way. Thank you for the prayers for my sis and her friend. My sis is really struggling mentally right now because she doesn't even remember that day or relapsing so all she knows is that she was doing so well. The Monday after the accident she was even going to start volunteering with Physical Therapists and start school...... How quickly things can change.

Re: Poor little guy
You have a very good heart, and a very strong one.

Vinsanity has a sad story too.
One day Vinsanity was browsing on the internet, ball-pythons.net to be exact. Vinsanity saw a post that was made by Big Gunns, it was written in a 3rd person poing of view so of course, his reactions were "WTF!??!?!?!"
Vinsanity spent the next hour reading these borderline retarded posts by a man named Big Gunns. This brings tears to Vinsanity's eyes, poor Vinsanity just wasted a hour in Vinsanity's life and Vinsanity can never buy that back.

Elise.m is sad to see that someone spent an hour doing something they claim "brings tears to their eyes", when the only reason you would do something for one full hour is when you enjoy it.
Elise.m thinks Big Gunns is win in this situation.

Vinsanity disagrees, but not completely. Vinsanity does not enjoy school but Vinsanity still goes to school for more than an hour a day. But Vinsanity also agree that the only reason Vinsanity "should" do something for one full hour is when Vinsanity enjoys it.
It's okay though, Vinsanity still loves you.
