    Biggest snake on the forum?
Just curious...who has the largest snake on this forum and how big is it? Would love to see it as well! :D

Good idea. Let's see some really big pythons. I don't own any big ones myself (retics or burmese) because they're illegal obtain and keep in Denmark.

There's a morph in Sweden that comes with a big pricetag. I've never seen it or anything like that but roughly translated into English it's morph name is.:

    SuperDwarf Fire Tiger (het lucy)

20ft burms would be pretty happy in a 6x3 or 6x2ft cage. And I know they run even a bit bigger than that on AP.com.

Think about the breeders out there who use rack systems for their burms and retics, you say that like no one has them.

There's a couple 20ft burms on here. I don't remember who had them though.

A Snake's definition of "Happy" is it's eating, pooping, breeding regularly and feeling safe. That's about it.

This is Marty a couple years ago, with my kids. He's now closer to 14 feet, but I don't have a camera as I keep buying herps!

    Good eye, Denial!

Yeah, I have a pair of ackies in there, though they will be moving shortly to a 6x3 so I can make room for the growing bp collection along that wall.

Besides herps, I'm always making new enclosures and getting food for the horde! :D

Well, it sounds a little tight to me too, but I only have a couple of burms and neither of them are even close to 20 feet so I really don't know.

How many 20 foot snakes do you own that you are able to make that statement?

I think an 8' by 4' would be a bit better.

    Meh...everyone is a critic.

    I don't have any 20' pythons so I won't comment on that...

    But.

I don't advocate for exposed electrical fixtures within my animals enclosure. You can buy...or very easily build your own protective covers. You can find them at this website...http://www.pythons.com.au/Reptile_Products_lighting.htm

Sure...people say "well I have never had an issue with my reptiles and lights in there cage..." But I think it is an accident waiting to happen thus putting your animal in danger.

...eh everyone is a critic right? :)

I've always been told the total cage size, length + length + width + width, should NEVER be shorter than the snakes size.

    6' + 6' +3' +3'= 18'.. small than a 20' snake..

    6' + 6' +2' +2'= 16'.. way too small

    An 8' x 4' would be a great size for anything 20'

Exposed ligthing is not really a problem with monitors.

Do not currently own any 20' snakes. My burm is in an 8x4, but if he exceeds 15 feet and 200 lbs. that will become a 12x4.

Jerhart mentioned "exposed electrical fixtures within" enclosures. Obviously he doesn't keep monitors. Putting a cover over the lights (like I do in the burm's enclosure) just gives the lizards something to hang onto, thus increasing the possibility of burns.

This is a 3 page long thread about pics of giants, and I'm the only one to have posted a pic... What's up with that?

Yeah a lot of people will see your cage and it doesn't have a tire swing or a merry-go-round and they are ready to snitch the SPCA on you.

That's why my giants have water slides, full on swing sets and rollercoasters!
