What is the point of Cinnamons?
They really are just normals with darker coloring. Why in the world do people pay a few hundred dollars for one.:rofl:

Does a normal make a pewter when bred to a pastel?:rofl:

Do two normals make a super cinnie (an almost all black snake)?

I'm not saying that they are useless for breeding, I am just saying that if they are just a pet, it's kinda a waste of money.

Unless you really like the look of them.

I know several people that have pastels, and other morph snakes that are just pets.

Apparently not the pet for you though.

Same reason a person has a chihauhau over a shepard, etc...

I think they are worth more because they are co-dominant and when bred with another can make the super form of that morph (Super Cinnamon). They can also be bred with other co-dominant morphs to make cool combos.

Plus if you bred a Super Cinnamon het Piebald to another Super Cinnamon het Piebald there is a possible chance of getting Panda Piebalds.:P

i don't think cinnamon look like normals. There is a definite difference between the two when you're looking at an excellent example compared to a normal.

Re: What is the point of Cinnamons?
Even if it's just for a pet people will get what they like to look at. The price is based on breeding possibilities, but many folks just like a nice cinny. I know I do. I don't think my Cinny looks like a normal at all. Wish I had a good pick of him with a normal but here he is.

If you don't like them, don't buy them.

Don't insult the people that choose to though. :colbert:

I dont know wat cinnis u are looking at but their is definetly nothing "normal" about them. I happen to find them as one of the most beautiful morphs available. Im not saying there arent very poor examples of cinnis but u show me a normal that looks like this

Awesome Cinnamons everyone. Better question would be, "What's the point of this thread?" C'mon, don't be rude, respect the tastes of other people. I respect the fact that you don't like them, but why put down other peoples animals?

    Cheers,

That's what I'm thinking, because the NICE cinnies I've seen are nothing like a normal... I might be getting one soon, and she could never be mistaken for anything else. And like the others have said, you can make some very nice morphs with a cinnamon - like the pewter, which is my plan if I get that girl. I want this, and you need a cinnamon to achieve it: http://www.vpi.com/sites/vpi.com/fil...VPI%29001o.jpg

As for why somebody would get one as a pet? Well, I doubt someone who was only looking for a pet would get a morph - of any kind. They'd just get a normal BP for $50-100, like most of us did at first. :D

Re: What is the point of Cinnamons?
I can see how you might get confused... the coloring is very similar, however the pattern on a cinnie is more like "bubbles" than a normie

Re: What is the point of Cinnamons?
Exactly. Most people who just want a pet BP will get a nice normal. It's the lucky ones that have good friends who breed or a pet store that doesn't know what they've got who get morphs as pets. :)

Now I do agree in some small way with the OPs original idea - that being most cinnies do not look that different from normals. Nice cinnies are an exception, as seen here, but there are those that just look like dark red normals. :) I used to think cinnies were a 'waste' of a morph...but that was before I learned about pewters and Super cinnies! With a partner who wants a black snake, I learned fast to appreciate the qualities of a nice cinnamon BP. :D
