It's tasty. The only beer I have found that I like is Guinness, but I love things in the 80 proof range, they all taste good if you buy quality, and they all sit well in my stomach.

Funny, alcohol originated out of the need for long lasting foodstuffs that could be consumed over the winter when crops couldn't be grown. Thus that quote would have been vastly wrong.

I have coworkers who are building bomb shelters and stocking up on food. As well as refusing to leave a neighborhood they hate (crackheads live near them) because they don't want to lose their fresh water supply (natural spring)

Sounds more and more like a coping mechanism that is helping you be successful. But it does fly right in the face of nature. The only reason a viewpoint like that is successful is because of our current society. If you had that attitude and were living in Africa and a lion walked into your home, there is a good chance you wouldn't react as quickly as you should, reducing your own ability to survive. I'm not saying you'd die but you would have a higher likelihood of it. (note that this is an example and an extreme one)

its not a coping mech. i have always been this way and it doesnt reduce my ability to survive at all, but when ppl freak out im calm and can react rationally.

And yes it most likely is a coping mechanism, you might not remember what it's from, you may have even been to young to remember where it was from, but that kind of behavior is a coping mechanism.

I know this will likely get split off, but there is not a single scientific fact to back up the 2012 conspiracy theory.

I have not read anything relating to the 2012 theory that is based on any fact besides that the mayans stopped their calender (one of over 50 of their calenders) there. The mayans don't attribute the end of their calender in the year 2012 to anything prophetic.

I am a skeptic, yes! I do not understand how anyone can believe that if we earthlings see something line up by chance with the light from other objects in space has any significance on our lives.

To take this argument and attribute it to some sort of universal phenomena sounds absolutely ludicrous to me. There are crazy things happening every single day everywhere out in the universe, the lining up of one little star of a little planetary system to another cluster of stars, from only one point of view in that little solar system.... yea, I just don't get it.

Once you see the actual scientific fact of what our solar system IS doing right now and the combination of things that will happen in dec 2012, you will see there is something amazing going to happen. Actually it IS a warning sign of a serial killer. Not saying you aren't, there are a lot of warning signs. Personally I have a lot of those warning signs, the only issue is I do panic under enough stress and I do feel strong emotions, many of the others I have, oh and I didn't wet the bed as a teenager.

Again death is a natural fear of humans, you have a learned behavior that makes it so you don't fear death, congratulations. I've little concern over when I will die, I don't see a reason to even think about it, but it doesn't stop the vast majority of humans from fearing it.

It does relate though... Ever stop to wonder if some of the people selling off all their animals at such cheap prices right now are doing it because they believe the "end is ney" ?? Im sure there are lots of people out there doing alot of crazy things they will ultimately regret. Like selling off all their snakes at crazy low prices. I have a very hard time believing anything written on sites like the one you provided. It may start off really trying to be factual, but then it goes right back into mumbo jumbo that does not have any real science done by accredited physicists and astronomers, or that has gone through the scientific process.

If the theory held any water, I think there would be real scientific, peer reviewed documents to show. This is just another conspiracy website in my eyes. Sorry... Like I said, I am a skeptic!
