puncture wound after a fresh shed

was checking Yellow over after he shed and found this. the only possible thing he could hurt himself on (i feed f/t) is the plastic plant i have hanging in his T8 ; it's not the smoothest thing. or could this have happened during his shed? that seems like a long shot.
should i remove the plant? any advice for monitoring and cleaning up the wound? i'm not too worried about it i just hope it doesn't hurt him too much. 🙁
Re: puncture wound after a fresh shed
Poor baba, I've heard about a lot of plants (even ones made for reptiles) being sharp and snakes getting injured. It doesn't look deep which has me thinking he's maybe snagged it while rubbing the shed off. Personally I would give the plant a good inspection and if it has any pointed bits I'd remove it and just keep the hole nice and clean. Looking at it o my phone it actually looks like a scale, but that could just be me trying to look at a small picture. Looks very similar to what my female done (My first post on here) and it sorted it's self after the next shed :)

With regards to the wound, I'm sure if you just wash it over and keep it clean, it'll be fine, but better off waiting for additional advice. I hope Yellow is okay. :)
the plant i have is all plastic but i know it has some sharp points. i'll definitely be checking it over and deciding if i can fix it or just get rid of it.
and thank you, i'm sure he's okay! :D i swear over the years i've seen more rubs and scratches on this guy than i would have ever thought possible for a snake. he's always getting into trouble.

thanks for the advice. for cleaning should i just use water and a q-tip, or some sort of soap solution?
and that's a good point about everything showing on lighter snakes, i'm just glad it's just a little poke.

with the timing of it showing up i was thinking a scale maybe got pulled during the shed. when i was rubbing my finger over the spot it definitely seems like a small hole/puncture of some kind, but it's not deep at all. i'm not too worried about it, but i am upset because i swear this guy is always getting into shenanigans of some kind.

Just some water and some tissue paper or something. When my big ones have something like this or they are covered in poop I just run them under the bathtub faucet at about room tempurature for a few seconds wipe rinse again then not worry about it too much. No soap.
