Animal Plastic cages

I'm getting two AP cages at 2'x4' for two of my 08 CA Boas who I want to move into their permanent home.

Big question for everyone and you don't have to have an AP to answer this one, 12" for height or 15"? Is the 3" that much more convienent for another $45 per cage. T-8 or t-10

Also for people who have AP cages can you post some pictures so I can get a good feel for them being used.

How are they putting them together? Should I be nervous?

I have 5 AP cages. 4 T8's and 1 T12. All of them are great. Assembling them is really easy. All it takes is following the instructions and screwing the pieces together. It usually takes 10 minutes to do.

I don't have any Boas, but I will say that a few inches on the T8 would be nice though it wouldn't change how easy it is to deal with. I'd go with the slightly larger one if you have the funds. But it's not a big enough difference to eat bread and water for a week for. Lol

i have 4 T10's. they are great for humidity, i had to add extra holes.
i have 2 with the sliding glass, and 2 with the acrylic double doors. the ones with the double doors i put a divider in the middle so i could house 2 BP's in each one.
i have my bloods in the ones with the sliding glass.. im going to be getting a few more bloods and moving the balls out to a rack so i can imagine that the "double door" ones are going to be a PITA. if i had it to do over again, id get all glass. there a little more expensive, but i think that there worth it.

heres the holes i drilled in them. they work really well. its a good to regulate humidity. if you look, you can see that where i stacked them, i put wood trim around the "seam" and painted it black. also,, i built a "table" with coasters on it that the cages sit on. makes it easy to move around.

I would do t8 and remember that non arboreal snakes don't really need height but floor space.

We ordered 3, T10s with sliding glass doors about 5 weeks ago and they should be here any day. :gj:

I felt the 12" was too shot and the 18" too tall to heat so we went with the 15". We have a Dumerils who is gonna be a big girl one day. I figured the extra 3 inches will provide enough room to comfortably get her in and out and for an extra $45 it was better to be safe than sorry.

From what I understand they are simple to put together but require a little elbow grease and caulk. If useful I'd be glad to post any tips/pics after they arrive and are set up.

Our cages showed up yesterday. It took a little longer then expected. They kept in contact with me and more then made up for the delay. By far the best customer service I've had in years.

They were packaged very professionally and were easy to assemble. My only suggestion is have a power screw driver charged and ready to go. As long as your cage is 4ft or under you should be able to put it together in about 15min with no problems.

This was my exact assessment when I got my first AP cage. Great company... and yes a power screw driver does help a lot.

Ialmosf had made mu decision about cages.... I think I'll go with T10 for house snakes and T8 for spotted python. My only questions are: How tight dividers sit in cages (dont want thin build snakes interact with others... And are both sides are light up with fixtures (I mean u order set for 20$ or u need to order 2 fixtufes for 20$ each)
Detiled picture how divider is mounted will be helpfull
