If this is real, my best advice would be to have your son sign up for the special olympics.

I thought this site was all about helping people out that don't know what they're doing. That seems a bit harsh..

Ok that's what I thought, but now I just need to find a good vet in case something does happen. Being in the San Diego area, I'm sure a quick google search will do the trick. Thanks for clearing that up.

No need to search! I have one for you. I'm north of you, but a friend with snakes gave me this reference, said this guy is "the best".

Thomas H. Boyer, DVM, DABVP reptile & amphibian practice.

Go back to page 4 in this thread and you can see the full list of vets I found. Some others are in San Diego too.

Thanks for the info! Better to have a recommended/trusted vet. Only about a 40ish minute drive. A little farther than I'd like, but if its a reliable place that's where I'd rather go.

It's times like these I realize how lucky I am ._. I have a vet within walking distance of my house.

It was the same place my parents used to take out cat before she passed and I was surprised to find that they also have a specialized herp vet on staff too.

On the contrary. This site not only does not have a bad rap, it's rep is one of not encouraging that type of behavior. Sure, it's allowed on occasion, appropriate on occasion, but by no means tolerated on every occasion.

Besides you, who says this site gets a bad rap?

So, you make a statement, refuse to back it up, THEN go all noble and 'won't play'? You started the game, you're in it. Defend who you will, but be prepared to do more than flap your gums or, maybe, keep them pressed firmly together until your anger no longer clouds your better judgement.
