Creepin, probably. I know I can't be the only one who wants to know if the animal is getting treatment (assuming they didn't decide to put it down, which it sounds like) and how it is doing

I still think it was a troll thread.

If not... Then I hope the snake was put out of its pain and suffering and lessons were learned.

Well after reading this thread, I will be looking for a vet and knowing where they're at and a number to reach them. This thread opened my eyes to not knowing where my nearest vet is that specializes in snakes is. /lesson learned.

Glad the thread was helpful to someone!

It does highlight the importance of having a vet BEFORE needing the vet. Even if you don't go in for regular check ups, you should know what vets will treat your snakes and the best numbers to reach them at.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

How often do you do checkups with vets? If everything appears fine yearly?

If everything is fine no need to go. Unless it's a new aquisition and you want parasite tests or something

There's a word that some of you seem ignorant about.

    Fact.

    www.dictionary.com

I haven't seen ONE single fact in this thread that came from the op and precious few from anyone else.

    All in all, pretty sad.

Coming from me, that should make some of you feel stupid and some of you feel sad and some of you feel both. I'll leave it up to you to sort that up, but please, familiarize yourself with the word of the day.

    FACT.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

I like to at least meet with the vet (even if I don't bring the animal in), just to get established and get into the system. But for the most part, as long as there is no other reason to go, I keep the animals home. Less stress for them, less expense for me.
