Even when you hold presentation (show and tells) with these animals for education, you have to mix in a bit of fun, or you will end up standing in front of 2 people while the rest slowly slink away, LOL

Speaking of cohabitation, it definitely is a very bad idea. For many reasons.
Cannibalism, injuries, feeding problems have all been discussed.

Another one is the inability to really monitor a snakes output. Sometimes there are issues with waste. They either do not have the output they should have, or it doesn't look right and there is a issue. Which you will not know WHICH snake to attribute this to. Which snake to keep an eye on, which on to intervene with.

I know. I might come across as a tyrant sometimes but I am a squishy Crestie in the end.

Not to derail the derailed thread, but along the lines of what can go wrong that is preventable:

    Travel

Your snake should be double-enclosed when in transit. Snake in a bag, bag in a box or tub with locking lid. Snakes are escape artists and you don't want it to end up under a seat where it can get injured on exposed metal or wires, or disappearing into your car's dashboard. I cringe every time I see a picture of someone holding a snake while driving.

Excellent point about travel. Along the same lines, any temporary tub used while cleaning cages needs to be secure.

Locking lids that are secure are the way to go. I can't Imajin trying to put rainbow in a bag at her size.
