Yea, somethings can be negotiated, but those two things aren't. The gaming maybe could be but something would have to seriously replace my time, but the snakes aren't going anywhere period, that will not happen. I agree that changes for the better are always good, but getting rid of snakes isn't changing for the better.
I meant that in the opposite way actually, as in just because she might not like it now, doesn't mean she won't change and become involved woth your hobbies as she learns about them. My hubby had never even held a snake before, and now he spends more time on genetic wizard than I do.
I could see venomous as a potential grey area though, but it's not like RB is a scary hot.

Yea, and the reason I got back into the hobby were for the Rufous Beaked. As a matter of fact I refused to return to the hobby until I found one. Then I did so now I'm back. My BP's would go before them.

I ditto what a lot of people have posted here.
As long as she supports your hobbies, it shouldn't matter if she enjoys them herself or not. Though, my boyfriend may disagree.
He seems to think gaming would bring us closer. For the heck of it, one day I did try. Got pretty into a PC game for a month or so and then that died.
My love of snake keeping trumped that and FAST.
My advice to you: if you happen to find a girl who isn't into gaming, be sure to know your limits. My bf would spend the entirety of his 2 days off on his games if I wasn't bugging him to go to a movie or dinner or something. He thinks a 3-4hr session of Call of Duty is "just a warm up." Literally. Its getting to the point where it's causing issues, so be invested in your relationship enough to know when it call it a night.

See I hate COD, so it's okay :P.
I play BF3, and some days I play then some days I don't. I only play an hour or so if I do unless I happen to have all my friends on and I'm left with nothing to do then I'll play for hours, but that's very rare and it's only because I have nothing better to do. Trust me I'd rather be doing something much more useful.

The girl I mentioned before and I have been going on dates lately. I'm still trying to get her to love my snakes, but she's still a little scared. Just keep going on with your life, and a good relationship will happen! :)

I mean don't get me wrong I can play for hours but it's different because I don't enjoy playing normally so it's purely out of boredom now that I play. I'd much rather be out hanging with somebody or even helping my friends with their snakes but they don't need help. Then all my friends are basically married and have kids so I can't really impose on their life. I'm sure I could go to the bar or a club and meet somebody, but I don't want to meet somebody there because it's not something I enjoy doing.

Yea man. I definitely hear you there. I dated a girl who always wanted to go out and since I work nights it really wasn't going to work out from the get go. I mean if you really have to go out drinking to have fun then that isn't the type of person I want to be with. I can have fun from the environment of my own home. Hell the other day I was helping a friend work on his car and we got bored and we pushed two tires all the way down the road to see who would win. We've raced riding lawnmowers before. I'm 28 and even when I was younger I never enjoyed the party scene, because I think more then anything drunk people or stupid drunks annoy me. The yelling because they can't hear themselves or leaning on you slurring their words. The partying and all that just gets really old and I couldn't even keep up with the girl. I took a night off work to go out with her to another city and I didn't get home until like 8am the next morning. Screw that.

My 2 cents (married 16 years to my forever man):
I knew I found my forever man because he's a guy who shares my core values and who I can give up any of my 1,001 hobbies for without looking back and without regrets.
