True, and I got a little out of hand. I would like to offer an apology Jess.

I never said I wasn't going to take any of the advice, Not once did I say that. I said thank you to everyone for the Advice, I was rude and i also said sorry for that.. I Do appreciate Everyones Input, But when people repeat something that was asked many times before it does get very annoying. and I can't answer every Question that People ask me because im not use to the Terms everyone uses on here, I just wanted some help and it got out of hand, And This will be the last time i ask anything on the Forums. I will stick to PMing MOD's :)

If the pad is regulated as the instructions state the issue isn't that big. IF it works as it was designed to it will not get nearly as hot as other ones do. I have a few ultratherm they don't get super hot and this one is internally restricted it should be even less much like Kane mats. I think I am going to order one to play with.

Re: Question ?? help!
Time for me to weigh in here. I am the main care giver for Shadow. I did extensive research before I even got him and I appreciate the advice I have received when I first got him, and will always appreciate it. I know Shadow isn't stressed out. He is a VERY happy snake. His set up has been the same since we got him. I make sure he has fresh water, is fed when he wants to eat and his tank is kept clean. I asked Jess to post on here to get some insight as to why he would suddenly turn the way he did. A year and a half and suddenly strikes. Was a big shock (second time, but first was my fault)
I really can't believe people had the nerve to mention the rainbow bridge or make it seem like we are abusing him. When he went off feeding for three months I was very upset, wasting tons of money trying to get him to eat. Used many tricks I found on here to achieve this as well. Hell, when he finally ate I was in tears I was so happy. So reading some of the stuffs that was posted in this pisses me off greatly. Mainly the stuff posted by mackynz.
To everyone that posted useful advice, thank you very much. To the others that were just ignorant idiots, piss off........

Not sure how far this post is going to get you... takes a lot of weight away from your "weigh in".
Anyway, it took at lest 3 pages to get that there was at least some sort of regulated heat pad. We assume the worst because we see it nearly daily on here.
You are also seeing some frustration at a bigger issue or two. Proper ball python set ups are not rocket science and they are not difficult. There is a lot of variation with what you can do, but there are a few VERY SPECIFIC needs that have to be met, else there could be dire consequences. We see here day in and day out that someone has put a BP in conditions that are generally thought of as sub par. THEN they state that it is because they cannot afford to switch to the proper set up. This brings up the next point that a proper set up is part and parcel with the price of the animal. In other words it should be no proper equipment = no animal, but time and time again that is not the case, and frankly we grow weary of seeing it. There is very little excuse for ignorance of the animal's needs in this day and age.
In this case it turns out that there is a somewhat regulated heat pad. But still no mention as to the exact temperature that is reached (do you have a thermometer that can read this?).
In the end, you chose to let someone else come here to ask your question, then you get angry that the responses were not of your liking. That is quite child-like thinking. Our answer well could have been "He only struck once, who cares?". You should be very happy that there is a group of folks passionate enough to actually care about your problem, and not look a gift horse in the mouth.

No one was being ignorant idiots, everyone is just trying to help. If you truly care for your snake like you say you do, maybe stop being so defensive and listen to the advice and suggestions......just saying.
