I've got 8 boaphile racks that have gotta be about 10 years old now. They're still working great. I remember when I ordered them Jeff delivered them to my house personally and helped me carry them down into the basement. I don't think he does that anymore though. :)

The racks are fine. They are thin and they will sag over time, but they are bascially just as good as any other rack on the market that is made from PVC.
With cages, I also experienced cracking and bowing. The bent portions of the cages cracked on some, and the roofs bowed under the weight of the Pro Products radiant heat panels. Then again, I know many people who have had their Boaphiles for years without any issues - cest la vie...........
As far as cages go, RBI makes an excellent cage and the APs, while nice, will bow also.
IF you can afford them Freedom Breeders and ARS racks are definitely the way to go. If not, RBI and AP make very nice racks.
The lead times are often all the same. This is where the critical difference between the "Boaphile", Ali at AP and Rich G. at RBI comes into play.
If there are delays, Ali and Rich will correspond with you. In my case, this past December on a large arboreal cage, AP refunded my shipping costs due to the cages being sent past their due date.
With Jeff Ronne, customer service can run the gamut from OK to non-existant. There are many threads on the BOI in which people have complained about his customer service issues. Some people are lucky to catch him on the phone, some have to call repeatedly and still others find that their e-mails go unanswered - even after spending money ordering his products.
The fact that AP and RBI offer a good product at a fair price is well known, as is the fact that Boaphile has customer service hiccups.
Having spent alot of money over the years on racks and cages, and having been left high and dry by delays and damaged product, my business will be with Ali, Rich G. and Lindy at FB.
You could always catch him at the NARBC show like I saw someone do on Saturday, and complain. ;)

You're that guy who has such a low self image that you always have to be right and everyone else always has to be wrong....Suddenly it's all clear to me now.
If you checked your User CP today, the following won't be anything new to you, but, if this is the way you're going to post, I really wish you'd find a new sand box to play in....or, get permissions for the QT, and we'll have an old fashioned Hee Haw Throwdown in there.
No, none of that added anything pertinent to the discussion about boaphile racks. All those comments were responses to other posts. You know, I dont know what your problem with me is and frankly I could care less. You are an anonymous person on the other end of a computer. I could care less if you think I have low self esteem ( LMAO at internet psychology ). The fact of it is, I get aggravated at people who make asinine arguments like Aaron has done with his obvious hate of Boahpile. The OP asked a simple question. Aaron repeatedly bashed Boaphile on the customer service argument and THEN linked a ridiculous link basically slandering Boaphile. Yet, you dont address that. You instead decide to come after me when you had nothing to do with this to begin with.
Im done arguing with you Slim. I have no respect for you and havent since I started posting here. I could care less if you feel the same way. Just remember, YOU are the one who is acting like a 12 year old who cant let things go.
Grow up
Seriously

Op: sorry about the thread derailment. To answer to initial question, get what suits your needs. I've dealt with Ali over at AP and she's a sweetheart, very thorough, and helpful. My rack took 10 days as it was one of their quick ship items. If you have trouble finding the tubs she will order them for you. I've heard good things about RBI but as I'm on a budget, I went with AP (was also recommended by Brandon boeke who uses them, and I trust his judgement). All of those racks hold up. If the customer service reputation is in question, just give each a call and chat for yourself. Some people like more to the point service, others might need more explanation. I'm the latter myself.

I know the Original Racks are made from thinner material than the new RhinoRaxx.
The 41 qt racks are thicker.
The cages are thin. Over time, they bowed from the wight of the RHPs and cracked at the bent seam. In shipping I had several get little chips at various areas.
Again, the cage and rack market is fairly competitive. There are a couple of new rack companies that are getting good reviews. AP, RBI, PMHerps, Barrs all make good products and communicate well. No reason to put up with poor customer service or slow communication in a market like that.

If I caught him at a reptile show I'd ask him to explain this excerpt from an interview he did on Kingsnake :
RonB- IBD, your thoughts?
TheBoaphile - I don't believe in it. Long story.
TheBoaphile - Too long to explain here. I need to write something up on it...
TheBoaphile - The IBD wackos are moving away from their once long held, bordering on religeous, belief about it now...
I always wondered what he was inferring.

Re: Boaphile RhinoRaxx?
I have a couple of RhinoRaxx that are about 3 years old. I love them as they are extremely sturdy. Jeff won't answer emails unfortunately which sucks but will answer the phone if you call. Lead times said 5-6 weeks and mine came in 5. I have another on the way as we speak. I have purchased stuff from RBI and there customer service is outstanding as I did have a problem with a product which Rich made right immediately. I have talked with AP via email and phone and their customer service has always been excellent as well.
