It's interesting when these old threads come up how many of the original posters are no longer active. I read through the first page of this thread and didn't recognize anyone so I looked to see when some of them posted last. Only one or two posted last year as their final post, the others stopped around 3 years ago.
    Makes you wonder.

Since I joined, I noticed the same thing. My first form ever. I had a run in with a more "experienced" poster. Now he doesn't post as much, some of his old posts show he was barely knew what he was doing. You'll see a lot of overnight experts. And people disappear, that's definitely been brought up before.

i think those kind of people forget that not everyone can afford to care for and house a large snake like a retic or Burmese. I LOVE to handle young retics and think that they are absolutely beautiful. However, I am a realist and also know that I am not (nor will I ever be) set up to take on a snake that large.

My BPs give me the same enjoyment of handling and caring for them without needing the assistance of another person to help me handle them, the room to keep adult rabbits to feed them, or having to sacrifice an entire room for one enclosure.

Nah, the title of the thread should read "BALL PYTHONS ARE MANAGEABLE". And they remain manageable. Retics and Burmese pythons are the "giant snakes" that don't always remain manageable for everyone. Stay in peace and not pieces. :gj:

Or kill and eat your infant daughter while she is asleep in her crib. Responsible or irresponsible? :colbert:

I think this would be better phrased as "Don't get a pet and allow it to kill you."
