Yeah, Cold Steel Spartan tactical folder. :D It's a super fast blade to get out and it's fairly light for how big it is, great knife.

It's easy, the thumb button is designed to catch your pocket on the way out and it's basically open, lol.

Nick: my understanding of CT law is if its under 4inches, not double sided, and not assisted opening, youre good.

Bumping this old thread with a new addition. :D

Idk if anyone remembers the mythical orange knife in most of jinx's unboxing videos, but this is the same model, just in black. (ESEE Izula). Its a neat little knife. I'll take some more pics once the handle's wrapped.

Ya I am pretty tough on knifes to that's why I carry two on me at all times. This is my work knife and in my opinion you can't beat kershaw for a good work knife.
    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/23/u2enebyp.jpg
The last Kershaw I had for 5 years and the only reason I don't use it anymore is because I lost it. Man I miss that knife. I use my damascus blade for self protection and cleaning animals, no work gets done with that little beauty!

I don't think I ever posted pics of the finished product of this. It's 100% handmade and ended up with a 10 1/4 inch blade.

Nice did you make that?? Blacksmithing is so fun my uncle does it I haven't had the time to learn much fun tho. An bob kershaws are awesome I had one for years upon years an I finally snapped the blade using it to wrench something outta something I believe. I was gonna get one like it again for my school knife but their like 60 now in my town so I got the buck I normally have good luck with bucks and its holding up nice

2inch stainless steel blade. No edge on it. I use it mainly for soft spreadable cheeses. I also carry it in my boot when I have to go to the rough section of town.

Thanks! It is cool. My only complaint is that it feels a bit too small for my hands but thats kinda my fault for having bigger hands i guess lol.

    I got it from http://www.knifeworks.com/

I highly recommend them. Transaction was smooth and it was at my door in only 3 days. Wicked fast shipping. They have a nice pink one. I KNOW you don't like too much pink BUT i think a pink izula with a black paracord wrap would be right up your alley ;)

The original Leatherman's were notorious for pinching the blank out of your hand if the pliers slipped...just google "leatherman pinch" and I guarantee stories will pop up...'twas not a pleasant experience!!! :rage: :rage: :rage: :rage: Made me a Gerber man. :D

The old ones from late ninties? I think my first wave was in 98 or so I was still you hands were small and always slipped I'd get pinched buy that and my saw started to get stuck open not sure how I managed that lol

This was in the early 90's...they sucked. If you squeezed the handles of the pliers hard enough they would nearly touch. And that's where the skin of your palm ended up when they slipped off something...design fail...

Nope...like I said, they were notorious! :D They had less than half the gap shown there, at best...they were also a little more flimsy from what I remember...my old Leatherman currently resides at the bottom of the Caribbean off the coast of Cuba...I picked up a Gerber at a stop in Gitmo one time and gave my Leatherman a burial at sea shortly afterwards...

here is my collection so far. Not in the picture is the leatherman juice which resides in the car and I take it with me to work. I try to edc many of each of these blade one in a while but most time I find myself just grabbing my keys and using the small spyderco on there. I have a little rust on my izula, any idea how to remove it safely without damaging the blade?
