Hey guys sorry I have been a little absent. I have not forgot about you guys! My computer finally kicked the bucket, my ps3 exploded on me (long story), and there has been a change in management at work so things have been to tense for me to try and get on the computers. I have tried to respond to you guys on tapatalk from my blackberry but it seems that my replies failed to post >(.
I have not done well this month. I had three birthdays, valentines day, 2 anniversaries and lay offs at work. It has been a very stressful month filled with functions and busy scheduling so haven't been to the gym as often as i would like and most days, if i eat at all it is usually mc Donald's or pizza. i weighed myself yesterday at the gym and I am up 3 lbs. sitting at 159lbs. I should be in the clear to start my regiment and diet, and stick to it.
Congratulations to everyone who has been working hard and who is seeing results. stick with it!! I hope to spend a lot of time tomorrow night posting and replying to your emails.
thanks guys,
Chris.

woot weather is warming up!! 13 degrees celcius all week. Time to start jogging!! :D:cool:

Re: Lose 20lbs and help BP.net!!
I've lost about four pounds since last week just because I work third shift. I eat twice a day on a good day. It's supposed to be above 60 degrees all week. Gonna start jogging about an hour a day after work. I plan on being in shape by summer.
-
I'm not participating, but since I got a new job back in september, I've lost just over 19 and a half pounds.. not quite the 20, but it's a pretty good success. I'm back to high school weight and quite happy about it.
Also super stoked, I'm going to need as much unnecessary weight burned off and as much endurance built as I can get, my gf and I are planning a serious trip DEEP into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Some of our days on the initial trip planning are going to have six portages.
When we get to our destination (as far deep as we can go in within our allotted time), I'm going to spend three days fly fishing for smallmouth bass, northern pike, and maybe muskies on relatively unfished waters on the MN/Ontario border.

Hey guys,
congrats on the weight loss!!! Sorry I haven't been around lately. But I am still working on it all the same! I've lost 7lbs. Had some gains due to birthdays, and "events," but I'm trying LOL. Now that the nice weather is here, I am out everyday on my bike, or in the gym. I've gained some muscle which is probably why I am struggling so hard with seeing losses. I am sitting at 258lbs.
How is everyone doing? I see there is not a lot of activity in the thread anymore and that's hugely my fault. I would really love to see us pull through (we still have over 2 months!). I would really like to succeed and see the money go to someone who deserves it!
Cheers!
Chris.

sweet! That sounds amazing! My goal is to get out to Nova Scotia this year and fish in the Atlantic ocean. My family has a cottage out off Indian Harbor and I haven't been since I was 15. There's nothing more relaxing than fishing! It's too bad I live in the city and can't fish anywhere.. unless I want to catch three eyed bass LOL.

Good job everyone. :D
I need to start exercising... My BMI is actually a little low, so I could use some muscle mass.

Re: Lose 20lbs and help BP.net!!
I am down another 14 pounds in just over two weeks. Part of that is due to being sick and not eating the last few days but I have been jogging about every other day. I'm at 220 now and hope to be at 190 by May. By July I want to see some abs, going to start working on my biceps and triceps too :)
-
I'm down 25 and thats after 2 weeks of eating like crap before and after my surgery! 189 now and only 49lbs to go lol!
sent from my EVO

First of I want to let everyone know that this is "Choreboy" but I have had my user name changed to "Balls Out Morphs" to go along with the little company my 7 year old son and I started.
I have completley changed diet and am hitting the gym before work Mon-Fri. I have lost about 18lbs over the last 4 weeks and am feeling great!!!
-
I think I'm a little late, but I'll give it a shot. I'm currently 190 which is the most I've ever weighed. The last time I tried losing weight was 5-6 years ago when I went from 185-150 in about 4-5 weeks. It was unhealthy and I won't be doing that again. I'm not even going to diet much this time. I'm starting P90X today so I'm hoping that torture combined with increased cardio 3-5 times a week will remove the need to starve myself.
-
hey guys! Just hit 253! I know i have been super absent, I have some personal things going on but I am still working on this! haven't forgotten about you guys! Hows everyone's goals going?
-
Wow, I missed this thread since my absence. Good idea! I'm a little late in the game, but I still have a lot of work to do, so sign me up. I left this site in October due to health issues that stemmed from my weight, smoking and alcoholism. I was in a bad place and didn't need any distractions. I was 253 pounds in October when I was admitted to the hospital for heart problems and I have since lost about 50 pounds, quit smoking, quit drinking and gotten a handle on my blood pressure. I still have 20 pounds left to go. I'd like to get that off by our vacation this June. Let's go! :gj:

Re: Lose 20lbs and help BP.net!!
I know i'm a day late and a dollar short but i want to join y'all too. My doc has ordered me to lose 50lbs for my blood pressure sake, my borderline diabetes sake and my poor back! I'm at 210 the heaviest i've been in my whole life. I had my thyroid checked and i'm on meds for it. I've been in the gym 4 days a week 1 hour a day...sometimes 2 hours since September of 2011. I watch my food intake as well but since my thyroid is so stinkin slow i haven't lost anything as of yet. Hopefully i'll see some results soon. Good Luck all.

Just found this thread recently, as I'm new to the site as well. So unfortunately, I'm a bit behind, but I'll post anyway.
Recently switched from a super active job that had me walking to and from work to... a desk job. I literally must be by my phone all day and cannot wander around, and there are no stairs in this building. It is honestly driving me a bit crazy with frustration. I went from hovering around 135lbs at 5'6" to being closer to 160lbs... And I might have even broken that line too.
Definitely feeling discouraged lately on the topic.
But I'm finally in a place where I feel both in control and motivation to change things up. I used to do weights in my home back in the day, but I've since moved and have no room for this type of set-up. Which just leaves me with... gym time. I think that's the most difficult part. Getting up the confidence to step into that gym and try to do my work-outs when I'm already feeling vulnerable.
If I post this here, I feel like I'll have a bit more drive and motivation. Now you guys all know my 'secret'. I'm over 160lbs... My jeans don't fit anymore. I've never felt so insecure about my looks before. So... I'm hoping that I can change that, starting with putting this out there for you guys to see.
-
hey guys! Just wanted to touch base and I see that a few of you have hit the 20lb mark! You guys are friggen awesome!!
I am down 13 lbs, and I am going to seriously buckle down for June and hit that target. You guys are inspiring me. I haven't been very devoted this month. My grandmother passed and I took it pretty hard. The funeral is tomorrow so I am hoping it helps me move forward so i can start to focus on my goals again, and join all of you who have done an amazing job!
I am sorry i haven't been posting as much as I had hoped - it's been a difficult year so far and things seem to be falling apart around me. hahah - I try to be a man of my word and it hurts me to know that I have been lax about touching base.. I will hit the 20lb mark, even if i have to cut off a limb to do it hahaha. I hope to offer ya'll a lively thread from this point on.
Keep up the great work!
chris.

thank you for sharing with us! I know that disappointing feeling. went from 190lbs at 6'6 with a 32inch waist to 265lbs with a 42 inch waist! There isn't a day that goes by where i don't feel insecure about myself, even after i dropped 3 sizes to 38 inches. The mindset I try to keep is that my opinion is the only one that matters.. No I am not happy with myself, but I have the power to change that. And what other people think is irrelevant. They can't change me, only i can change me, only i have control of my life. Once you honestly 100% believe in that, the feeling of power and motivation is amazing! Good luck on attaining your goals! If you truly want it nothing can stop you!

I'm on pretty much a lifelong quest to lose weight. I was a skinny kid, then hit 140 when I was just 13, then 150, then 160, then 170... Then I started going back down. As of January 3rd I weighed 129 (not my lowest weight, but, eh. I'll take it.) And I currently sit at 122. Trying to get 110 before the family reunion in july. Let's do this!

All right all you people out there! I am getting serious. Like uber serious now. I am going to start loosing weight. I am starting to get the ball rolling tomorrow on getting me healthy. I dont know if any of you of seen any of my youtube videos but you can see I am fat.
Currently I weight about 425 pounds I am guessing (cant find a scale that goes for 400)
I need to get down to 230 pounds to be at a healthy weight for my height (so says my dietitian)
Anyways. I will be starting my own BLOG,VLOG and facebook group on my weight lose. This will be a HUGE step in my life. It needs to be done. But i need support I cant do this alone
I will make a new thread shortly for it.
Thanks all.

Hey Guys,
I know this is long overdue but here are some update pics from today. I'm under 250 now. I will have an actual weight on Wednesday, but I'm estimating I am around 248, down from 265. Not a huge difference as I have a large frame but I think I can see some differences!

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. I wish I could have seen more progress, and I wish I held onto more muscle but June 1rst came and I started to realize that I didn't have much time left to hit my goal weight. Still losing at healthy rate, just not focusing on the weight training as much as I would like to.
Cheers,
Chris.

Hey guys,
Happy Canada Day!! haha
Well it's july 1rst and I weighted myself at 244lbs, which means I've dropped 21lbs! And as I see that some of you have also lost 20lbs + I am happy to start opening the suggestion pool for who the donation should go to. Please leave some suggestions and I will take them all and put them to the forum for a vote.
Congratulations to everyone who participated and succeeded and thank you to everyone who gave me and the other members here support!
And please come forward if you have obtained the 20lb goal!!
Cheers,
Chris.
-
Congrats on losing the weight! My vote is to donate to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group or the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC).

Thanks for the suggestions!
