Bil i respect your opinion greatly and im planing on keeping it anyway, and if it is a pastel which im open to the idea it definitly looks like one, how could this happen, the mojave is just a plain mojave aswell as the fire, and those are the only ones who breed her i promiss you that!!!

I AM coming from a place of "helping" not "hating"! :) First, I would think that the girl could have retained some sperm if she has been bred before -- are you sure she is a virgin?

Second, the Mojave could be carrying a second gene(Pastel). Mark suggested he could be a Pastave? Some Pastaves can be visually subtle as adults. Either is possible. I would go with the female retention first. Has the Mojave bred any other girls this season? I would keep an eye out for Pastels in his clutches.

Good luck -- having a Pastave male is a nice problem to have. :gj:

and heres a pic of the fire dad!!!!!! and when he was born he looked yellow aswell, and hes one of the best looking fires i have seen, straight from Bob Clark and Davies

First I have been in it since 96 with in break in 01-03, so I'm far from new. Secondly, I'm not the only one to say pastel. And I never asked to see pics of your breeder fire or it's history. If I am breeding fires and hatching fires I think I can tell a fire hatchling from a pastel. You want to be offended that is fine, but wasn't meant to offend you, but I'm also not going to sit by while you act like I don't know a pastel from a fire.
