The thing is around here if you are "sagging" there is about a 90% chance that you are involved with some illegal activity. I understand why they would make that law coming from the perspective of someone much older and or someone with strict traditional values (not me whatsoever).

I do think though that before people start making laws there better be years upon years of statistic's proving that every person with saggy pants is a possible criminal.

The article said they aren't worried about the ones who let their boxer elastic show. I've always sagged my pants to a degree for comfort, but I've seen plenty of dudes with pants all the way off their ass walking around. I had one guy stand in front of my house while my little brothers and I were out front throwing a ball around, and his pants were sagging around his lower thighs, while wearing tighty greenies. I think there's a line between sagging and indecent exposure and some of these idiots need to pull their flipping pants up. On the other hand, what a waste of police' energy.

I do not believe that just because a group of kids are wearing their pants below their butts that they are drug dealers or that they are into any kind of crime.

I would think that if they had researched it enough to see what area had the most crime and then how many of them were saggers and blah blah blah..it would make much more sence. But to just say all people who are saggers should be punished because it gives the "impression" that they are suspect is just reediculous.

Sagging became popular in the late 80's. The chicks and dudes all did it. Jermaine Dupri was one of the first people to do it in the mainsteam and it caught on. It is just a fashion statement.
