Disgusting

ok so no one has asked and i guess i will, being that the younger rattlesnakes have just as much venom as the full grown ones. would any seep into the vodka and could it kill you?

if so this guy could be up on murder charges

In the REAL stuff, that is the point, the venom actually mixes with the alchohol, not like going into your blood stream, but known to cause hallucinations (sp?), and a "out of body" experience.

If they were putting kittens into the bottle instead, would it be disgusting then?
I don't like it, and I do think it's rather disgusting to have a dead snake floating in my liquor.
I don't want a roach in it either. It's nasty.
If the critter was killed humanely, thenI wouldn't object to it being MADE, but I can still think it's gross. How does he "clean" the snake prior? Can feces leak out into the alcohol? *shudders*
It's a waste of alcohol to me.

i've had alligator tail in florida once.. it was actually really good.

A young rattlesnake does not have as much venum as an adult. It is an old wives tale that the younger ones are more deadly. Actually Juveniles have less than 70 milligrams of venom while adults have 492 milligrams to 666 milligrams. It takes roughly 100 milligrams to be classified as a lethal does to an adult human. The big factor is adults have more control of their vemom. They also realize that if they use all their vemon on prey they can not eat, like a human, they will not eat until they replenish it. While a juvenile does not have as much control and is more prone to panic when it thinks it will be stepped on and shoots all its venom at once. :D

And for the record, any amount of anything you put in your mouth will have really gross things in it. Microscopic pieces of feces, human flesh, blood, urine, etc...

It is part of life, and if you choose to ignore it, well... ignorance is bliss, right?

yeah they eat dogs in china. some restaurants across our school in china,they actually keep the fish alive inside the restrooms!!! outside our school, they catch all the cats and they skin it and they boil them. never tried it though. but its really cheap. considering they're stray cats. lol.

In Chinese Culture, people do that with snakes in wine.

It is considered a medicine.

It may not be appealing to you, but it is a part of a long standing culture, and should not be judged like that.

No im not saying that the logic of venom being used as medication. Some of my family members use it as well. Im saying that they are killing rattlesnakes and putting them in vodka is disgusting. Why would they kill it when instead they could just extract the venom from it.
