The ball bites did sting a bit more, though.
But, nothing against corns. The adults I've seen are sweet as can be, and they have plenty of morphs to choose from.
They are so funny when they "try" to kill the big bad monster hand :rofl:.When i had babies i never knew they actually bit me until i saw the drop of blood :O :P

Re: Corns vs. Balls?
No matter which way you go, you are going to be happy. I have two corns and a ball. The corns are very colorful and very easy to keep up but you cannot bring them out for extended periods of time before you start getting annoyed with their wondering. My ball, however, is the most docile pet i've ever had. just the other day, i had him sitting around my neck for a good 8 hours and he barely moved or explored... only to find a warmer part of my neck.
Enjoy your new buddy!

Re: Corns vs. Balls?
Herd about this site from a friend of mine and a member and i'm liking it very much. yall seem to be pretty nice and you know your stuff
Great Post!! i am in the same situation, between a Ball or a Corn
The snake i get which will be in about a month will be my first snake that i've ever owned and i can't deciede between a Corn or a ball, my friend has a Spider Ball he is nice but i dunno i dont really think the thickness of the balls where i like the slimmer of the corns...I will prolly get a Corn first just for price and morph reason..and most likely get a ball at one point to
just a noob question what would happen if you put a ball and a corn in the same tank? could they breed?

Re: Corns vs. Balls?
I own a crimson corn snake its around 1 year old now mine is a fantastic eater, quite energetic. they are fast but it is easy to get used to them. the best colour morphs IMO are; crimson(http://cornsnakes.com/forums/showthr...hlight=crimson, abbotts okeetee(http://cornsnakes.com/forums/showthr...bbotts+okeetee), blizzards(http://cornsnakes.com/forums/showthr...light=blizzard), pearl(http://cornsnakes.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=pearl)
I have tried to find the best pictures I could if you hear of any more morphs you are interested in I would be happy to help
Paul
P.S NEVER put a corn and a royal/ball in the same enclosure, the corn will be zipping around and will annoy and stress the royal/ball because they move naturally slower than corns. you could potentially have a nasty accident on your hands

Re: Corns vs. Balls?
No two snakes, of any species, should ever really be placed together in the same tank unless it's an emergency for only a short time, for transport, or if they are still hatchlings from the same clutch. Even then...
As far as the corn morphs go, nothing beats a full adult Bloodred! And the Sunglow, CandyCane, and yellow Butter are nothing to sneeze at either! :)
As far as a good first snake, get the corn! Easier to care for, more forgiving, and (let's face it) more fun to watch and interact with. :D Certainly get a Ball later down the road, because they are awesome, but corns are better first snakes IMHO.

Re: Corns vs. Balls?
I actually got my corn a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with her! http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=61482
Definitely different from my ball, Tank! but that's okay! She has a better feeding response than he does!
