one of the things my doc recommended is lists; it helps break things down and seem more manageable, plus the act of "crossing stuff out" is very rewarding.

i've been needing one of those lamps forever. do you have a link to one you use?

Yes! the use of lists to cross out is immeasurably beneficial for accomplishing goals, and helping with depression by setting up life motivation right on front of your eyes. even something as simple as
    1: get groceries
    2: call doctor
    3: buy stamps

it helps me with avoiding procrastination and gives me actions to focus on.

exactly; it doesn't have to be elaborate or for big tasks. on bad days i write lists of things to do when i get home, from running an errand to remembering to brush my teeth!

I bought a lamp on Amazon for my son. I don't know to links on an iPad. But when he does use it, it seems to work.

I'm so glad you started this thread, as I have been struggling with procrastination for a couple of years now, and this thread made me realize I need to really focus on making lists again.

Consider yourself lucky that you're inside your comfort bubble however....I just bought a home this weekend and my list is as follows starting today at 9am.

Schedule my home inspection, and verify schedules with the realtor, inspector, and myself.

Write and drop earnest money check at the realtor's office one hour from my workplace

Finalize pre-approval with the bank....verifying w-2's, 2016 taxes, paystubs, employment history, and submit completed offer after it arrives from the realitor

Attend home inspection after working 10 hour shift

    Verify bank authorized appraisal

....and then after that's done more paperwork....a LOT, LOT more paperwork actually.

EVERYTHING in the process is on tight deadlines as well.....

All in all, the two new extra bedrooms I'm attaining will be GREAT breeding rooms. I'm pricing out freedom breeder racks as well :D :D :D
