    I would say not at all. I have several hobbies and honestly it's even more fun to get the kids involved when they get old enough!

    That said, I too am once of those "only ever talks about their kids" people on facebook, but that's because I hate facebook and generally only maintain a presence there to share kid stuff with relatives that live elsewhere and can't visit without a lot of time and expense invested. I don't feel like anyone has and interest in any of my other hobbies, so I don't talk about them there, I talk about them in spaces like this that dedicated to the hobby :)

    tl;dr What you're expereincing from your facebook friends is probably not the whole or even a decent sized part of the picture.
