I use face book alot but not for conversation just mainly keeping family informed on how school and life are going since I'm a hr an a half away now. When ever I'm looking for a good conversation I come to my favorite online community and see what all my bp.net friends are up too. Gotta admire tapatalk has made it super easy to be on here all day

Honestly, All my school (people I knows) "friend me on facebook, we never talk in real life. Seriously. I just use facebook mainly for a constant flow of Harry potter and reptile pictures from m news feed.:)

I know right? I never really talk to my school friends out side of school I just get home and play with my snakes 0.o lol. It's more like yay reptile expo=reptile friends or yay race= quad friends. Haha

I completely agree with all the above. I think it is pretty cool to have a lot of friends on here that share and or understand you interests. Most of the people at the hospital where I work think it is extremely weird to like and raise snakes. For some reason, they do not think a college educated medical professional could possibly be into reptiles.

I do love that the love for reptiles knows no race, religion, color, creed, sex, etc. I know that a disproportionate amount of people that keep snakes are not black I have met a few reptiles/snake lovers that are. I wonder what makes us so different from folks that are deathly afraid of or simply hate snakes - anyone have any opinions on that?

My Facebook has now just been used for reptile groups both educational and classifieds, and funny pictures. The about six or eight people I talk to in life are family and I just go see them. BP.net is a good community.

Five more weeks and you'll be free and have full control over what you view. That sucks the army blocks everything for you all tho kinda seems like your the ones who should be aloud to view anything you want but that's why people don't put me in charge haha

The blocked sites are more to protect both the information systems (computers) as well as the information that is transmitted on them. I get it, but some of it is unnecessary. Photobucket, for instance, may only be blocked to free up bandwith, but more likely it is blocked because it is a file sharing site. I doubt it is a bandwidth issue because after 2000 hours they allow access to youtube (can't access it during the workday when people will be using bandwidth for work issues. When 82nd ABN owned the battlespace here photobucket was allowed, but now that 3rd ID is the battlespace owner they have blocked it.
