Pied = White belly regardless of pattern.
HET Pied = I looka likea wild type. Markers dont mean as much as you want to believe.
Cant go wrong with a 40 dollar snake though, thats pennies (4000 of them). Thing is though, its not a sick deal for that price, and for barely anything extra you can get papers with your snakey. Good luck on your choice.
Het pieds look like wild types yet still have white bellys..least ways every one I have seen has..I have 6 at present..all have white bellys..my others also had white bellys..not wild type bellys..markers dont mean much but I have yet to see a het pied with a normal type belly pattern..
Re: Should i get this het pied?
You could find a pied for $650, or so. Also keep in mind, many het pieds have a "pied marker" trait on their tails. Get pics of the underside of their tail to look for the marker. Search the site for pictures of the "pied marker."

I'm thinking that i can breed them and sell some albinos and normals (i'm gonna keep and albino) and save up for some het pieds. how's that sounds? oh and the het albinos are proven.
Proven het albinos for $100? Are you saying the animals he's selling for $100 are proven breeders or the trait is proven to be het? If they are proven breeders, I would be very leary of the price. Proven het albino females are worth 6-10 times that depending on the size....and I don't know of too many breeders willing to part with proven het or morph females.
Re: Should i get this het pied?
I think there are several big breeders in the San Antonio area - VPI (the Barkers) and Ron Temper and Don Soderberg (South Mountain Reptiles) where all last I knew in Boerne or San Marcos or somewhere down there. On a $50 snake you could easily pay double with shipping.
Yes, the markers aren't seen in 100% of hets and are occasionally seen in non hets but they would certainly be a reassuring sight in a reported het from an unknown source.
You might be able to find a double het albino pied male from a good source from around $200 if you want one snake to do double duty and eventually work toward albino pieds. Because a female double het would be a lot more you could start out with just a het albino female and a different het pied female but then any albinos or pieds produced with the double het male would also be 50% chance het for the other. Nice extra for the $150 or so extra investment which would be made back by not having two males to feed up.
