    But.

I don't advocate for exposed electrical fixtures within my animals enclosure. You can buy...or very easily build your own protective covers. You can find them at this website...http://www.pythons.com.au/Reptile_Products_lighting.htm

Sure...people say "well I have never had an issue with my reptiles and lights in there cage..." But I think it is an accident waiting to happen thus putting your animal in danger.

...eh everyone is a critic right? :)

Exposed ligthing is not really a problem with monitors.

Do not currently own any 20' snakes. My burm is in an 8x4, but if he exceeds 15 feet and 200 lbs. that will become a 12x4.

Jerhart mentioned "exposed electrical fixtures within" enclosures. Obviously he doesn't keep monitors. Putting a cover over the lights (like I do in the burm's enclosure) just gives the lizards something to hang onto, thus increasing the possibility of burns.

This is a 3 page long thread about pics of giants, and I'm the only one to have posted a pic... What's up with that?

Maybe they just don't want to be judged and accused of being cruel to their animals.
