Re: ways to treat resp. infections.
The OP doesn't have an RI. He is only asking if anyone knows of any home remedies, or procedures to use while you are waiting for vet appts, etc. He already knows you have to take them to a vet. He was just asking if anyone knew of any alternatives ( in an un-neccessarily large font, I might add).

    Wow....

What a way to make some friends eh?

Come to this thread, acting like you are gonna save people from RI's but just come off looking like a fool.

I would suggest you finish up your Captain Crunch Cereal, take the bus to scool, and come back after you've finished your home work.

You are the OP, or did you forget that?

Confusing, yes - he just didn't use the quote tool - he was quoting someone else.

Once again, if anyone (directed towards the people that the OP intended to help) needs some helpful info about RI's please refer to this link

    http://www.ball-pythons.net/modules/...warticle&id=50

and for the sake of your animals please do not believe that this is something that can be treated at home, take your animal to the vet.

Quoted just because it needed to be restated.

The reason I don't do this is because I'm a college student and have enough money to take care of my snakes and myself, with a bit left over, and that's it. I can't afford to house sick snakes and risk the rest of my animals getting sick, and even risk my friend's animals getting sick just through contact with me as my entire living space becomes infected.

Thank you. My post wasn't to be mean, it's crucial that you get the animal to the vet, there isn't another way to treat RI, even if the animal seems to be doing better you want to get them to a vet.

Which they do. Constantly. Every time someone who is inexperienced has a sick snake they ask. And while it can be minorly irritating seeing as how there are 5 other topics on the same thing on that page, I'm quite sure EVERYONE here will give them the same advice and not blow up at them. We've seen it a million times and we've reacted the same way each time, and we're not going to stop telling people to go to the vet. There is no ghetto cure for RI, you have to have antibiotics, and they need to be of the right type and amount for your specific snake.

Perhaps you see it as easier to read, but myself I see it as extremely difficult to read. In order to even see the words you have to stand on the other side of the room or have eye problems.

First of all I'm a guy. Second of all you are referring to me as if I am old or married, and I think a lot of single women, and a handful of married women, would find that offensive. Use Ms. as a standard usage, this started in the 70s when the feminist movement kicked in.

If you feed the trolls, they keep coming back for more. The only thing worse than a troll is an illiterate troll. Holy hell this thread is hard on my eyes!
