Hot rock packages say they're great for reptiles too...as do calci-sand and other granular substrates. I'm sorry, but I will not support anything other than good, old-fashioned water (and maybe a towel) to help with shedding problems.
(A friend and I are looking for citations/articles about oil use on reptiles. Will post as soon as I have something. Of the scientific articles I've found so far, none say to use anything but water as a shed aid.)

im kind of curious too so im posting to sub to this thread. panthercz ur being a bit of a douche, just post ur comment about it and move on. i have a double het albino pied that is having a problem with his shed and just used some t-rex bio mist, but im not sure how it will work. i dont usually have a problem with sheds but this guy i just got a few weeks ago and he seems to be having a issue. would like to see what other peoples opinions are on shedding aids or skin conditioners.

Well I got to get back to my snakes, I'm spraying them with oven cleaner since I heard it clears up mites and stuck shed all at once...
At the end of the day youve never used it...and that's all that really matters. You're going off your assumption that it should be dangerous based off of what you already know, kind of like I had only heard pine bedding was bad but never used it and then Wes checked me on it.
I owned it once before, and that was before I had bp.net or the internet at my disposal to research and care for my animals. I found that the Benson & Sons Snake oil was effective at causing perfect sheds in the environment I was creating that lacked humidity.
Now that I have all these resources at my finger tips, I just want to know if it's safe or not, and if anyone else had used it.
We'll mark you down for a "assuming it's not safe" vote and leave it at that.

Thanks, let me know what you find out
