Ah you see, I am not the one who is just starting out. I've been there since July 1st, 2006. EVERY LAST ONE of the cafe servers and the new cafe manager has started there after me. Now the cafe manager did work at another store from the same company but that does not mean she can disrespect me. She claims to be an open book and that we can come to her with any problems or concerns we have but everytime I bring something up, she blows it off and does things her way. :rage:

I'm not the kind of person to be disrespectful back. When the cafe manager or another server starts disrespecting me, I shut up and do my work in COMPLETE silence. I only talk to customers or answer a co-worker with a single sentence. :rage::rage::rage:

I'm an enterprise architect for a division of a large credit reporting company out of Atlanta, so I spend my days doing software and infrastructure design and implementation.

I also have my own consulting company doing pretty much the same thing for other companies, which provides my most prominent time sink, The Mobster Game, an online game I've written from scratch that went live last February.

I actually never played any of the games in this genre before I started writing it. The guys I work with on the game were total addicts though, decided they wanted their own game, and were referred to me by a mutual friend.

That said, it's been a blast to write and watch grow as a community. Since february, we've had somewhere close to 8k users register, and average around 700 active players per week, although that's been trending upward between 10-15% a week.

I see. I didn't care, but the community over there was great. A million registered users with over 500 players online at any time, with someone winning over $4,000 every 10 days. I met some great people from all over the world. I'm not a big gamer, but that was an interesting game. I'll have to check out yours. It might be nice to play with so few players. If I could come out on top with a million players, I should dominate a few thousand. :D

You'll probably run into more than a few familiar faces if you do. We've managed to transplant a number of families en masse from other games.

I've noticed though that there is always a huge discrepancy between registered users and players in game on text-based web games. While TMB has over a million registered users, on average only around 8k play per round. We have right at 8k registered, but only have around 700-800 active playing per round, although we're growing quickly. Our real advantage comes from having an engine that was designed from the ground up to be quickly customized and extended, which has allowed us to do what would otherwise be major overhauls in small amounts of code and time.

I happen to be a student! ...yay... I'm a junior Bio major/Theatre minor at Metro State working towards the ultimate goal of owning a wildlife refuge for exotics and birds of prey. Occasionally, I procure the odd summer job at pet stores, but soon I'll get to have an internship at the Denver Zoo. :D I hope. Otherwise, I manage finances and take care of pets here at home.

My BF/partner has a B.A. in Creative writing and is almost finished with his second degree: B.S. in Game Art and Design. In other words, he shall be a video/RPG game designer...and yes, he's really good at it.

He's in the garment industry he's pretty much the middleman between suppliers and the stores like Bloomingdale's and JC Penny, the suppliers send the company hundreds of thousands of pieces of clothing and they keep them in the warehouse until the stores need them and then they ship them out, they change the poly bags and hangers and all that. He also has a trucking company and he just started food distribution about a year ago.

I am a junior at Colorado State University majoring in Art and Equine Sciences.

I also teach Therapeutic Horseback Riding to people who are disabled. I have done a quite a bit of nannying and last summer I tutored a homeschooled kid. Oh, I once worked at a calf farm, but I got salmonella from the calves...so I stopped.
