Re: Hate to ask: Desert ghost X Pastel
NERD's site even says that there are Desert Ghosts who are co-dom as well and that it just depends on lineage. i suppose if you called them and asked how much they would sell a co-dom Desert Ghost for they could well have one.

There is a plain Desert and lol her colours are the same as my fire except for the top of the head (that is all a blushed colour, mine has that but on the back there is an even brighter circle of orange)

This is Kahl's co-dom:

Pro-Exotics doesn't seem to say if it is co-dom or recessive:

So yeah I think the two kinds look distinctly different, however as NERD's says the Desert Ghost depends on the line, if you really want to find out if the Desert Ghost is recessive or both you could call and ask NERD about it.

I believe the story behind naming the co-dom desert "desert" was because the original people bringing it in to the country believed they were getting the recessive NERD Desert Ghost; but, when they got the animal, it was clearly not a NERD desert ghost.
I think I heard that on reptile radio with the man from pro-exotics talking about his desert and what's he's produced with them. Worth listening to.
Re: Hate to ask: Desert ghost X Pastel
I've been dreaming of a Desert Ghost since I started with balls, but they are hard to come by and the price tag isn't exactly a turnon (for me as a basement breeder). I found out about the Desert Ball a few months back and fell in love with that one as well, they are similar yet very different imo.
Anyone know the price range on the Desert Ball?
Re: Hate to ask: Desert ghost X Pastel
At NARBC this past OCT, they were ranging between 3500 - 4000 for Deserts, and up from there with the combos and sex.

I think NERD is working on the recessive line. I've hunted pictures from both lines to compare but no luck.
NERD is working with both lines of Desert Ghosts. The one I like better is the recessive line.
