Hate to ask: Desert ghost X Pastel

Alright if any of the offspring come out as Desert Ghosts or Pastel Desert hosts, then you know you have the co-dom line, lol.

Or he could simply ask the breeder that he buys the animal from?

I think NERD is working on the recessive line. I've hunted pictures from both lines to compare but no luck.
