Plastic cage questions....

reptile basics all he way. i just picked up my second one and couldnt be happier, i use the 4x2 but divide them in the middle to keep 2 snakes in each one so you would be ok with a 3x2x1

I live in the high desert of Central Oregon, in Bend, and our night temps are always low (summer= 40, winter= colder than witches...well...umm....very cold!) We run our furnace a lot!! We're already running each night and will run it in the day from about October through April or May. My ambient temps were a nightmare!! Enter the radiant heat panel (cue Celestial Choir :P) Problems solved- just that easily. Balls and boas digest and they tell of their exquisite delight over their digs heated from above (cue the choir again)!! ;) Yeah, well, anyway, it's all good.

Wow! 40 in the summer? Well, I don't get out much. I have travelled around quite a bit from the Rockies and Eastward from there and have only set foot West of the Rockies in Las Vegas(flying in) a few times. I would not imagine you having such fluxuating temperatures. Some day I would like to see the West. Those RHP's do solve the problem!

Can he install lighting with the RHP ?

would someone mind posting a link for a reptile radiant heat panel? I'm pretty much in the same boat as my house EASILY gets down to low 60s in the winter because we have an undersized furnace. My original plan was to wrap all my tubs in my rack with flexwatt but I feel like that would be a pain with always taking the tubs in and out.

Are those ball pythons that you keep in the divided 4 footers? Do they seem cramped for space? I wouldn't think so because my snake rarely moves around, but when he does he'll take up a whole 40 breeder.

A divided cage might work to my benefit because I have a leopard gecko that needs a new home as well.

www.pro-products.com www.reptilebasics.com are the main 2 sources. www.helixcontrols.com has them too. That's all that I know of.

All I can tell you, regarding the sizes of cages and dividing them, is that my 1200g+ males and females really use all of the space in a 3x2x1 RBI cage.

Since you've got another animal, you might look at RBI's mini cage for him :gj:
